"A long time since we have eaten here, Covid has so much to answer for, but great to see that the Kitchen survived the lockdowns because it is a great spot for a good quality snack or lunch, and ideally located, just off the Shrewsbury bypass, on the road into mid Wales. You can sit in or out, if inside there is table service, if you decide to sit outside then you are asked to pop in and order at the front desk. A varied menu, something for all palettes and budgets. We had a quick Soup of the Day with Crusty Bread, dark, earthy Mushroom, creamy and full of flavour. Plenty of free parking, toilets on site. An excellent fuel stop."

We love this place. It’s locally sourced, freshly prepared food and so delicious. Due to it being so good it can get a little busy sometimes. You can also buy some of the ingredients in the farm shop next door.

I highly recommend this restaurant for a great breakfast, excellent value for your money, and quick service. It is definitely worth stopping by if you're in the area. There is also a charming farm shop on the premises.

Stopped here for lunch on the way to Wales. Really nice place, very clean and airy. Exceptionally quick service. Food really good but a bit overpriced in my view. It was Sunday lunch time and they do roasts so the rest of the menu was a bit limited. Would definitely go again. Visualizza piatti

I have been to this restaurant for breakfast with my family three times. The place is always impeccably clean. The staff is friendly and attentive. The food is always cooked to perfection and served hot, it is also very delicious. I will definitely continue to recommend this restaurant. Thank you.

We really like The Cote Kitchen especially for Breakfast on our way to Anglesey. It is located just off the Shrewsbury By-Pass(A5) on the Welshpool Road( A458).The quality of their breakfasts is still really good with a good menu choice and the prices are reasonable. Standard of service is always good. There is an excellent Farm Shop next door and plenty of parking.

We go here regularly for breakfast. It is always excellent with good quality ingredients. The food is hot and comes promptly and the service is good. It does get busy but we’ve always been able to get a table and it doesn’t seem to affect the service or the food. Toilets are clean and spacious. Local farm shop (same owners) next door. Reasonable parking. Highly recommended. Visualizza piatti

This was a lovely place to stop for breakfast on our way to Snowdonia we found the Cote Kitchen on Google maps so planned the stop. We got the last table inside at 9:30, so were relived at that. It was great to so many people enjoying themselves though and it seemed to be a mix of locals and people travelling. The fried breakfasts were superb. One of my sons had the waffles and these were disappointing though thin shop ones rather than homemade and quite small overall.

The food at this restaurant was absolutely amazing. We both ordered the steak sandwich and the steak was cooked perfectly. The food was served quickly and was hot. However, the service was a bit strange. Our hot drinks were left on the counter while staff took other orders and picked up pads. We were told to wait to be seated, but ended up being ignored for a few minutes even though there were available tables. It seemed that most of the customers after us knew to just walk in and grab a table without waiting.

"Beautifull hotel, I guess one can call it trendy , but I just don 't understand how they can justify the price £130/night and that most of the time will go to £160 as they run out of entry level ones. So I guess the answer is there because people pay for it! But let 's just make some relevant comparisons Birmingham Grand literally in the heart of the city, brand new, 5* hotel, with all recently decorated rooms to the highest standard is £135 15 for breakfast. Needless to say rooms are air conditioned, fully equipped and genuinelly very posh. Hotel has lifts, has porters and the service is top notch. The Lion is barelly 4* just for trendiness alone, but the actual quality of furnishing is closer to 3*, has no lift and you will be lugging your bags up and down mutiple flights of stairs (and I mean multiple like 8 going up and down) trought narrow corridors to mediocre room (nothing wrong with it just mediocre) which isn 't even air conditioned. Sorry, I just don 't get it. That said restaurant is good fully fine dining if you are into it. Althought in my oppinion it doesn 't fit into the rest of the hotel. So it is ~3.5* hotel which is very youghtfull and trendy and then you get 5* fine dining with very tiny portions for the dinner (which is not criticism of restaurant, it is very good on it 's own). In conclussion I just don 't get what niche this hotel is filling, who stays there and why. The price for the rooms should be £75 95 tops. Shreesbury is not exactly prime tourists destination either (at least shouldn 't). But it seems it is working out for them, I just would not recommend it, I would not stay in it again and it is definatelly not worth the price. Neither in isolation, nor in comparison."

"Open since 1970 and located on Mardol, one of Shrewsbury’s oldest streets @thecurryhouseshrewsbury serves locally sourced ingredients married with traditional spices and chillies from the Indian subcontinent, a match made in heaven. 5 5 Recommended Price No better way to kick off proceedings but with popadoms, chutneys and fresh onion salad. On to appetisers and there are so many tempting dishes to choose with many of these exclusive to the curry house. Our first time trying Pani Puri. A sweet and spicy hot street food snack filled with chickpeas and tamarind sat on a bed of crunchy, nutty Bombay mix. With a building but pleasant heat, definitely something everyone should try. The quality and freshness of the seafood was exceptional. Spicy king prawns were huge and cooked to perfection. Charred on the outside for flavour but juicy and meaty. Trio of King scallops were beautifully tender and of a good size with sweetness from the tamarind liquor. Lamb rogan Josh tender lamb shoulder in a medium hot ginger tomato and onion sauce. A strong take on a traditional favourite of ours. Fresh from the Tandoor a generous mix of marinaded chicken, lamb, king prawns and a chargrilled lamb chop. The Tandoori deluxe massalla sauce was the perfect blend of sweetness melting into a subtle heat which brought the dish together perfectly. The curry house takes traditional dishes and flavours from the Indian subcontinent and elevates them to a level beyond expectations. Thank you for our invite to share the exciting menu created with passion and creativity.
