"For our main dishes, we tried the mussels with speck and saffron and the beef and mushroom pie. The mussels were plump and perfectly cooked, served with a tasty shellfish broth and homemade focaccia. The pie was filled with tender steak, mushrooms, and rich gravy, all encased in a crispy, buttery pastry. Although we were already full, we couldn't resist trying some of the homemade desserts. We shared a sticky toffee pudding with salted caramel ice cream and a delightful butterscotch sauce, all of which were made on-site and absolutely delicious. Overall, this restaurant is definitely worth a visit, even if it requires a journey to get there. We already can't wait to go back and try more dishes from their menu. This is how country pubs should be!"

The parfait ,Guinea fowl 3 way served , and chocolate fondant was simply stunning . First time we have eaten here and will defo be back to try some more of the menu . So many tasty sounding dishes to try . Service was spot on .

This restaurant is absolutely fantastic! I recently went with my partner for a 3-course meal. We enjoyed goat cheese and pumpkin soup, two delicious options for the main course (pork and roast beef), and finished off with pana cotta with poached pears and sticky toffee pudding. I can't emphasize enough the high quality of the food at this restaurant. You must try it! Kudos to the chef and staff for creating such a wonderful dining experience.

The staff at this restaurant were outstanding. They were very considerate and moved our table to a more accessible spot for my 90-year-old mother. She really liked her non-vegan meal, but the vegan option of Cumin Roasted Cauliflower with asparagus and Pak Choi was heavenly. It was a nice change to have a vegan option at a pub that wasn't just a chilli or a burger. It seems like it might have been a special Sunday menu, which would explain why it wasn't listed on the website.

Absolutely amazing!!! My husband and I just had a fantastic 3 course meal at this restaurant. We started with delicious goats cheese and pumpkin soup, followed by two roasts - loin of pork and roast beef. For dessert, we had panna cotta with poached pears and sticky toffee pudding. The quality of the food at this establishment is outstanding. I highly recommend giving it a try! A big shoutout to the chefs and our waiter, Sam. Thank you for a wonderful dining experience.
