"I did encounter some minor issues during my visits, which is why I'm giving it a 4-star rating. They apparently don't serve cocktails, at least not the ones I requested. Recently, I asked for an Espresso Martini, and the bartender politely declined, saying they don’t make cocktails. Fair enough, so I opted for a pint instead. However, the next day when my wife asked for an Aperol Spritz, they promptly made it for her. To me, an Aperol Spritz is still a cocktail. I wouldn’t mind if I had asked for something more obscure, but an Espresso Martini is hardly in the same league as a Sex on the Beach! On our last visit, we walked by the pub and peeked inside to check for seating. It didn’t look busy, and I saw plenty of available tables, yet the doorman refused us entry, claiming they were full. Clearly, they weren't, but I didn't argue and decided to go elsewhere. Overall, it's still a fantastic bar, and I'm eager to try the food on our next visit. I highly recommend checking it out if you're in Conwy, as it's one of the better spots in the area. Plus, it’s conveniently located right across from the train station!"

I stopped by for an evening meal and had the best cod loin I've ever tasted. It was cooked perfectly and served with a light cauliflower puree, mussels, and samphire. Thank you—it was a much-appreciated meal after a rainy day exploring beautiful castles.

Visited this restaurant number of times now. Lovely atmosphere, great food and very good service by all. We stayed in a room at 'Y Capel ', at the back of the Erskine. The room was lovely characterful, clean and very comfortable. Has its own private car park which is a big advantage. We 'll certainly be coming back again soon

Popped in on the off chance that they could serve our group of eight on bank holiday Monday. The staff were really helpful and friendly and were able to find us a table. The food was absolutely amazing, we all had different choices off the menu and everyone was very happy. Would definitely go again when we are next in the area. Visualizza piatti

What a delightful experience! The food was amazing, made with high-quality ingredients, and there was a fantastic selection of options for the whole family. The staff was very welcoming, especially with our puppies at the bar (though it was a bit dark and there were no dog treats). Overall, a great choice, and we’ll definitely be back!

I speak on behalf of our group of six when I say that the quality of venue and service at the Erskine Arms is outstanding. Our first visit but certainly not our last. The staff were excellent especially Melissa the young waitress and Ben Jones the GM, although all staff were clearly well trained polite and helpful. Enjoyed by all! Looking forward to our next visit.

a part of a fairly large pub / dining room group. clean and attractive eat pretty good and competitive price. there is a parking space at the nearby railway station not too expensive, but not much free parking close to them. They keep their real ale very good and serve at the right temperature. the personal is very pleasant. popular, so book in advance when they travel any distance. they can do this online. The rooms are beautifully furnished and impeccably clean, with a very comfortable bed. The staff is helpful, knowledgeable, and pleasant. We enjoyed dinner, which featured an imaginative menu and delicious food. The full Welsh breakfast included many locally sourced items. The hotel is situated in a fantastic central location that remains peaceful. There are some parking spaces available at the hotel, and plenty of options at the train station right across the street.

My wife and I recently stayed at the Erskine Arms, and we had an excellent experience. Here’s why: it's centrally located in the heart of Conwy, a historic city that is perfect for exploring not only its medieval attractions but also the wider region of North Wales. The staff is friendly and welcoming, and the rooms are impeccably clean, as is the hotel overall. The quality of the food is exceptional; we enjoyed two evening meals there during our three-night stay! A top tip: be sure to reserve a table in advance! We've stayed in many hotels, and this one is definitely among our top favorites – it truly deserves five stars!

"Whenever I get the inclination to write a review it’s usually because it’s so good and I want to shout about my experience to everyone… however this is not my usual 5* recommendation! As locals we have visited this cafe on a few occasions for breakfast or a coffee stop. It’s a great location, nice decor, dog friendly and delicious food. What’s not to like? Well, the staff, or more specifically the owner! She lacks any customer service skills, she smiles through gritted teeth, orders her staff around while she stands observing (or waiting for an argument . Each time we’ve visited she’s had an issue with something. Once she argued with me because I asked for my latte to be served in a cup rather than a tall glass. She proceeded to try and educate me on coffee making (I’m barista trained ! She reluctantly gave me it to me in a mug with a jug of extra milk which wouldn’t fit into the mug anyway! More recently we arrived, it was quiet, and chose to sit in the window (the largest table as we had our dog and didn’t want him to be in the way. She rushed over and demanded we sat at another table because she “couldn’t afford for us to take up a larger table”. We moved without an issue but she was very confrontational (as always and made the rest of our dining experience uncomfortable. So uncomfortable in fact that despite being ravenous we almost didn’t order. The cafe remained quiet throughout our time there, plenty of empty tables and yet she proceeded to use the larger window table to accommodate her staff, herself and a friend who popped in. How is that fair? So my advice to you as a fellow catering/ hospitality manager is… Learn from your Trip Advisor feedback, Book yourself on a free customer service course and lead by example and if you are worried about costs reduce the number of staff. 5 staff on duty in a cafe that seats approx 25 people at full capacity is not needed. Maybe the owner should put her feet up at home and let the lovely younger people do their thing. They all look so nervous around her and are almost too afraid to speak. I’m sure they’d do a far better job without her monitoring their every move. Even the Chef (her husband maybe? looks petrified of her!! Certain people are not cut out for customer facing roles and she is one of them! I’m pretty sure she doesn’t read any of these reviews as she’s been like this since my first visit 5 years ago!! What a shame. This place could be a thriving business and a welcoming village cafe but I’m sure her confrontational attitude and unwelcoming nature put people off from returning. Such a shame as the food and coffee are delightful"
