"On a calm Saturday night, my party was the only ones in the restaurant initially. The food was exceptional, especially the mussels. We even brought our dog along and they were very accommodating with a meal for our furry friend. When we requested rice but received pasta instead, the staff quickly corrected the mistake without any fuss. Our waitress was friendly and knowledgeable. However, it was often difficult to get the attention of the wait staff. This may have been due to the restaurant's size or the fact that they tended to congregate near the bar, which was quite a distance from the tables. Despite this, we plan to return for special occasions in the future."

"quality hotel, it feels special as soon as they enter the building. the reception was friendly and attentive, check-in was quick and easy. the rooms were clean, comfortable and beautiful. the bed was very comfortable and large. the bathroom was very nice and the shower is the best I ever was, the pressure and the flow was amazing. if you want to eat a change from the hotel, there are some amazing restaurants just miles away in south queensferry."

"Superb little place! Attended on Saturday evening The atmosphere was very old school. Absolutely loved it. Just a cracking little place. If you're into proper pubs, give this little place a visit. Sadly can't rate the food as didn't have any. But everything else was grand."

"Reached North Queensferry after crossing the Red Bridge' from South Queensferry. As we came down the hill from the station, the lady was opening up Rankin's at 10 a.m. Nice sunny morning so we chose to sit outside for a quick spot of refreshment, train...watching at the same time. Used the toilet before leaving. Establishment was very clean. It should be noted that there are no public toilets in North Queensferry. The Ferrybridge Hotel where we had downloaded a light lunch' menu appeared to be shut down. Spent the next couple of hours taking leisurely back over Forth Road Bridge to our hotel we were staying in."

"We only discovered that this charming cafe offered gluten-free options on the final day of our holiday. If we had known earlier, we would have tried more of the delicious offerings available. However, we did enjoy a gluten-free cake, as they had a great selection of pre-packaged cakes. The menu also includes paninis and jacket potatoes, and the staff appeared to be knowledgeable about Coeliac disease, so I believe they would be able to accommodate dietary needs well. My partner, who does not have Coeliac disease, tried a scone and found it to be delicious. There were also plenty of other tempting cakes to choose from. The prices were reasonable compared to other cafes, despite a customer behind us complaining about the cost of a toastie. Overall, we had a pleasant experience at this cafe and would recommend it to others."
