"The price of £12 for a starter and mains starting at £26 may seem a bit high for a hotel in South Queensferry. However, the quality of the food almost justifies the prices. The squid starter was incredibly fresh and flavorful, the fish and chips were generous and tender, and the apple tart dessert was just right. The wine menu is extensive and offers mostly reasonably priced options (such as a bottle of New Zealand sauvignon blanc for £44). The service was excellent, not overly attentive but just the right pace. The restaurant was not very busy during my visit, so I cannot speak to what it would be like during peak times. Overall, I would highly recommend dining at the hotel if you are staying there and do not feel like venturing out. However, I am not sure if I would specifically choose to visit the hotel just for the food, as delicious as it was."

We had an evening meal as part of our overnight stay at the Dakota. It was absolutely fantastic, and staff were very attentive. We wouldn't class ourselves as fine diners but we really enjoyed what we had. Would recommend and we would go back here for a treat.

customer services were excellent that the employees were very helpful on the written where I can get confetti, which they led me with clear direction and location where I could find it in the load. it is only made that my day not mentioned de breakfast was delicious

yesterday evening and hotel is nice, staff are very accomodating on all requests that we made. the room was nice and clean and all Kovid rules are adhered to. eating and drinking was nice that we steak and cooked perfect also drinks were delivered as desired and personal very attentive and friendly thank you

we have a customer memory when we were in the dakota and wanted to treat our guests. I ordered the filet, which was tender and perfectly cooked, and the chicken ballotin and fish and chips looked fantastic. my colleague had never tried to overhear haggis and our maitre de and brought us little baked Haggis balls. fantastic product and service. also had the vegetarian breakfast and my colleague had eier benedikt the morning after. they get what they pay for most, and both the dinner and stay were worth good for me.

We were driving around sightseeing and looking for a late lunch when we came across this restaurant. Unfortunately, at 3pm only the bar menu was available, but it was still enough to indulge in. The restaurant had charming decorations, great food, nice wines, and excellent service. The staff were very kind and knowledgeable. The sourdough bread with Venetian dip was remarkable, and the battered fish and chips were big and tasty. The place exceeded our expectations - it's a bar and grill located in a pretty large hotel.

We recently visited Dakota in Glasgow for the second time, after previously visiting the one in Edinburgh. It was nice to have a consistent standard to rely on. However, during this visit we encountered a couple of issues. The air conditioning in our room had not been turned on by housekeeping, making it uncomfortably hot inside and outside. Even opening a window did not provide relief. The night manager promptly came and fixed the air conditioning, but it was a passive Eco system, not a freezing cold one. Gotta love autocorrect!

my wife and I stayed cursed with my daughter last minute. we were so impressed by this hotel, right from the minute we went to the moment we left everything was perfect. the staff are so friendly and attentive to us, it was a brilliant experience. we have booked an executive room and the decor was really good finished and spacious enough for the three of us. we also used the restaurant and the food was so good. the fillet steak was cooked to perfection and so delicate. the scallops were delicious. we were also for the breakfast and it was also great. all in all we are glad that we have chosen the dakota and do not hesitate to book it again for another night soon. thanks to all those who have...

"new kapitel has caught my attention after I was on top ten on trip advisor only months after the opening in the oktober last year. that and the fact that it is open for my early january birthday, made it the perfect place to celebrate to become a little older. I was with the man and his family. the man is quite used to my taste and good to the kind of kitchen that would appeal to me for a special occasion; his family not so much and I was filled with shame as his mother scornful went through the menu trying to find something she would enjoy. I've eaten with the family of the man, and I know they enjoy eating, so I think it's a failure of the menu that it is not accessible. the benming always blooming and garnish can appeal to some, but for others it is overcomplicated and it is necessary to find a balance between the two. we start with the starters and I go for venison sour wort pithvier. the venison was underheated and incredibly dry, to the happiness the sourded a little moisturizing and so saved the whole dish, but the aromen were quite not clear, except the garnitur of plastered mushrooms I thoroughly enjoyed. for the largest part we chose a fish dish for our main,- sea trout, smoked muddles, petersilien and coast herbs. where the starter fell, the main recording is getting back. the dish is rich and creamy, and each element adds the complexity of the taste as a whole, without disturbing. the concept is now an old one, and it would be deceptive if it had not worked, as it would essentially pay with this place. I enjoyed my meal in new chapter, although I do not agree with it is stellar status under the hierarchy of edinburgh eateries. it is top ten position is just a flash in the pan of hot popularity, and in time it will be plated in the upper half of the middle stage where it belongs. and that is where it belongs, the dishes can be plated with a michelin star in understood, and the venue and the supporting media has the clean lines and empty slate look of fine but eat the team has a long gone to go if that is their real aim. at the end, although it was a beautiful meal, and cheap (at the moment I would not be surprised to see their prices slowly rise) and the man’s mother found something they enjoyed and that is the most important."
