I was warmly greeted at this pub and had a fantastic Roast beef dinner that was absolutely delicious. I had a thoroughly enjoyable experience, but I would highly recommend making a reservation in advance.

We had another amazing Sunday lunch at this restaurant, with excellent service and attentive staff. The roast beef and pork were outstanding, and we were impressed by how accommodating the staff were to our requests.

... as good as we remembered mixing being a pub and a good place to eat reasonably priced. This mixes being a community pub in the city centre and a place that you want to go to to eat whether locals like us or if visiting Exeter. Well done team!

Relaxed atmosphere. Small menu but the food is exceptional and inventive. I had a mains of perfectly cooked plaice over Bombay potatoes, cauliflower, samphire and a samphire curry sauce. It worked so well. My wife reported that the pork belly was excellent. Large portions including the starters. The service was efficient and friendly. Very impressive.

Finally a pub with my name written all over it! Ok, not quite. Thanks to my trusted Yelp! app I found this place. It's on a quiet street off the main track, but once inside you'll just be happy you found it! They brew their own beer in the basement and looking at the food being carried out made me regret having dinner before we showed up. Next time I'm in Exeter, I'll be back!!! Visualizza piatti

Friendly pub with a great vibe and amazing food. Friday night, we were lucky enough to get a table. The staff are so welcoming and the atmosphere is great. There's a real buzz. Hubby had the plaice for main and I had the burger. Superb quality ingredients and expertly executed by the chef. The perfect way to spend Friday night. It's hidden away from the main street but definitely worth finding. You will not be disappointed.

OMG what an amazing Sunday roast we had! Our daughter is at uni in Exeter and we had our last lunch together as a family here. Two of us had the roast beef and the others had the pork, both served with a great selection of veg, roast potatoes, huge Yorkshire pudding and best of all, a lovely cauliflower cheese on the side. Desserts were great too (albeit we struggled to find room . The frangipane with poached pear was delicious! The Fat Pig is definitely somewhere we will have to incorporate into every visit to Exeter. Just concerned we will become fat pigs ourselves ;

I had just had a walk around exeter quayside had enjoyed a devonshire scone and during the positive affirmation talk that our table had, we discussed how it was to use positiveity and win our desire. we wanted a pub, so to float around a few ruins and a paved windy road like something from a Hovis advertising, as before us like a bake was the fat pig. it was the one we had seen in a local shiny exeter city guide in the scone shop. at the time I remember thinking of myself, this pub fat pig must slip out like a pig for truffle in the forest.
