The staff were extremely accommodating and reassuring and provided me with a very lovely gluten free coeliac friendly Sunday lunch. I will definitely be back on my next trip to Dartmouth. Thank you.

Pleasant place. Nice staff. Worst meal out we think we have ever had. Tapas starter all seemed to be from a budget frozen food shop. The special hake main was totally inedible at £21, fish dried out and sauce hardly cooked so it was sent back and we went home not at all happy.

I stopped by for a drink last night and was impressed by the delicious looking food, so I decided to come back the next evening. I opted for the cod loin with green risotto, while my partner ordered the steak. Both dishes were excellent. We were seated near the entrance, which was not within the restaurant's formal dining area, and the location was on a busy street. The dish we initially wanted was not available, and the food we did order was very simple pub fare. Our previous experiences at this establishment had been more enjoyable, so this visit was disappointing and not up to our expectations.

We came to the FB 12 months ago and had an ok meal, nothing special when there are so many nice places to eat in Dartmouth, thought we would give it another try this Sunday as we were here for work. Went to the bar to order a drink while we decided what to eat and was faced with the rudest bartender I’ve ever come across, he was lucky he didn’t get the pint all over him. And the cheeky git charged me £13.50 for a pint and ordinary G&T

During our stay nearby, we discovered The Floating Bridge and found it to be extremely convenient. It soon became our go-to spot for evening meals. We tried various dishes from the main menu and were always satisfied. It's a popular spot, so we recommend making a reservation. Went here for dinner as family, 7 adults and 3 kids)while staying for week in Dartmouth, This was our last night and needed to be decent We made last minute booking by phone as previous place we had booked did not have a good choice for all family. The food ordered was of very good and the service was very efficient. We had several different dishes from the menu including one special. All were very tasty, well presented and decent portions. Drinks also quite reasonable compared with some of the places we had been during the week. Certainly would eat here again if and when in Dartmouth.

We were staying next door at the Marina hotel and looking for a dog friendly place to eat with walking distance. This was an ideal venue. We were quickly seated and our orders taken I had a main course of mussels, a huge bowl full of big meaty mussels, and my wife had the rather unusual monkfish goujons. Both mains were really good, possibly a little overpriced but enjoyable nonetheless. Our only disappointment really was that no one came to take orders for desserts; mind you we were pretty full anyway so that was probably no bad thing. Friendly staff and, with a bottle of wine and tip, the bill came to £80. Certainly a place to recommend.

My friend and I visited The Floating Bridge at lunchtime today. I ordered the dressed crab salad etc £26 and my friend ordered steak kidney pie £19. Mine was delicious but what they served my friend was absolutely, without doubt NOT steak kidney pie. What they served was pork and mushroom pie!!! When you have been making steak kidney pie and pork casserole for 20+ years you tend to ‘know the difference between steak, kidney, mushrooms and pork’. When my friend spoke to the gentleman serving us (not sure if he was the owner/manager) and said that she had pork in her pie and no kidney at all he said no it’s not pork it’s definitely steak kidney.
