"The appetizers were satisfactory, with everyone enjoying the garlic mushrooms served with a warm ciabatta roll. The roast beef was overdone and the Yorkshire puddings appeared to be frozen. Despite requesting extra gravy, it was not provided. The roast potatoes were soggy. The vegetarian burger was tasty, but served in a stale bun. The French fries were limp, indicating that the oil may not have been hot enough. Although we reported these issues, no replacement was offered, only an apology. On a positive note, my husband found the Saltaire Blonde beer to be excellent. The staff were multitasking by serving both drinks and taking food orders indoors and outdoors."

This beautifully decorated pub serves above-average pub food. I treated my mom to a nice lunch and enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere without any children present during our visit.

Really disappointed, booked a table, girl got our drinks then sat for half an hour without anybody asking for our order. The chef came and asked if we'd ordered and we said no, nothing else happened so after waiting for an hour we walked out. So disappointed as could be our local

Enjoyed a family meal. A wonderful bundle of joy, Olivia, kept the kids entertained, made our group so comfortable. A honest happy lady. If my food and drink is served with bundles of joy and energy, then a 1st class meal was extra special. The kids eat their greens and don't whine for a McDonald's when they're looked after.

A warm and welcoming village pub. The lounge area requires a special mention due to the amazing murals on the walls depicting scenes from the dales. The only downside of the pub is the parking, it's to the rear of the pub but take no notice of the sign pointing to the car park as you'll find that entrance blocked. Please remove that sign!

I was extremely let down by my experience at this restaurant. My friend and I went for Sunday lunch and waited for half an hour without anyone coming to take our order. When the chef finally approached us to ask if we had ordered, we hadn't and continued to wait. After waiting for a total of an hour without any service, we decided to leave.
