"Had a dinner at the Lamb and Flag last night and it was cooked to prefection with the mixed grill one of the best I have had. Portion size was too much for me and Andrew the Chef Properitor did ask if all was well when he visited the table, on which I informed him the food is fancastic value but portions too large. Will return for the wine and tapas evening next week."

visited this lunch time with the family ,we all had a sunday roast. Good home cooking with fresh veg and quality meat carved off the bone and very well cooked.

Delicious lunch freshly cooked vegetables and very well presented. Unfortunately unable to eat it all! No pudding required will have to return for that another day.

Great place for good honest pub grub! Very generous portions always freshly cooked to order and great quality. The Sunday lunches are the stuff of legend! Very nice garden for sunny days and helpful friendly staff :

Popped in when driving by for something to eat, as there were “boards” outside advertising. It was a good job I asked prior to ordering drinks... “sorry we don’t have a chef at the moment, we’ve only just taken over”.

We booked Sunday lunch here and what a fantastic meal home roast potatoes and parsnips, beautifully cooked roast lamb, homemade yorkies and such a variety of veg one of the best Sunday roasts in a pub I have ever eaten

Went with friends for lunch and we all agreed it's the best pub Sunday roast we have had for a long long time, everything was cooked to perfection, all the staff were vey pleasant and friendly. Highly recommend the lamb and flag.

I knew nothing about the pub but needed a meal in that area. I booked a table but on arrival we stuck on a tiny table squashed up against the bar billiards. My lasagna was very greasy and I’m not sure if it actually had any pasta in it.

Oh my word the Sunday roasts were amazing. Quality meat, beautiful roasties and veg cooked to perfection. A goody bag was brought home of the veg that we didn't eat. Quantity didn't outdo quality. Perfect in all ways. A lovely pub with great chef and helpful attentive staff. 10 out of 10

Sign outside said kitchen re-opened 28th, so we cycled over on 30th to have a meal and support it. Ordered drinks and then asked for menu, told restricted menu tonight, ok we said. Then barmaid looked at guy sitting at bar who shook his head, no we are not doing food. I asked did we misread the sign out front saying kitchen re-opens 28th and today is 30th ?
