The food at this restaurant was terrible and the staff were rude. It used to be a nice place, but recently it has been awful. I ordered the salmon and it was disgusting, lacking flavor.

Stayed the night with the whole family four rooms in total, what a fabulous place. Great drinks and food selection, spotlessly clean but the best thing of all was the staff, all very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. We are already planning our next visit...... THANKYOU!!!

We have visited this restaurant several times in the past few months for family celebrations. Personally, I find it to be quite expensive for the quality of food you receive. The main dishes range from £15-£17 and desserts are around £7.50. The food is average and doesn't leave a lasting impression. It seems to aspire to be a step above typical pub fare, but the prices don't match the quality. The pizza selection ranges from £12-£14 with a wide variety to choose from. A group of long-lost school friends and I chose to reunite at The Lion after many years apart. Despite passing by the restaurant countless times, I had never ventured inside until now. The bar was bustling with activity, but my only complaint was that there seemed to be a shortage of staff working the bar on such a busy evening. However, that was the only downside. We were promptly seated at our table, served drinks, and placed our food orders without any issues. Each of us ordered something different, and all of the dishes looked stunning.
