"we enjoyed another very pleasant dinner at the Dog’ in pentrich recently. it is a very civilized but relaxed escaping area, and the type of place where people are miles for, for the culinary experience traveling and with good ground. eating is good. the dining room is spacious, contemporary and beautifully furnished with a relaxed ambiente. also the adjacent bar area is very cozy and cozy. we were warmly welcomed and immediately shown on our table. the service was attentive and pleasant, without being overlaid or intrusive. our meals were very pleasant and we enjoyed the selection of things we had (start, head and dessert). However, it seemed to be some unconsistencies with a portion size. with the appetizers the leek and the potato portion was very small a piece laek about two centimeters long filled with cheese and in a sea of sauce to convey the grasp of “more”. the crispy szechuan cauliflower and aubergine, on the other hand, contained large parts of the two components of the teller. similar to the net, the green thai chicken contained three very large portions of huh in different shapes: a large chicken breast as the main component of the Thai chicken shell, accompanied by a huge serving of shredded chicken in rice, and a huge Bao beer filled with a large piece of baked chicken. while the various components were delicious, it was just chicken overload, almost like three main dishes as one, and much too much. the same applies to the puddings we have chosen. the dog inn trifle was a huge bowl with lemon-rossel sponge, with white chocolate-creuzard, and celestial gel and sorbet. the yorkshire rhubarb cheesecake, on the other hand, was a very small roll of cheesecake with a puppy game of rhubarb sorbet and a few pieces of poached rhubarb. our meals were certainly delicious, and we enjoyed them. the hanger steak was cooked nicely after a discussion about it; it was clearly stated on the menu that the hanger steak was ‘Served ‘Pink or well Done’, but we were informed that it could not be ordered well. which condition is then on the menu? the dog is worth looking. it is in the beautiful and historical village pentrich, on the b1016 between the towns ripley and alfreton in derbyshire. we're coming back."

"We were very disappointed with our experience at this restaurant. When we were seated at our table, there was a sign indicating that it was reserved at 10:30, which made us feel like an inconvenience. The service was very poor, despite being told that unlimited tea and coffee were included with our meal. Throughout the hour and a half we were there, we were never asked if everything was okay and had to repeatedly ask for more drinks. The Prosecco we ordered was served in unopened bottles, and the breakfast made with cheap supermarket bread was dry and bland. We were frustrated by the lack of attention and had to even ask for a napkin. When we finally left, we were not asked about our experience, which made us realize that they knew their service was subpar. This experience was supposed to be a birthday gift, but instead it left us feeling upset and dissatisfied. We would not recommend dining at this restaurant."

"Lovely chilled pub, friendly and knowledgeable staff, tasteful decor and very dog friendly. We booked a table because we were camping nearby. However, the phone number on google is out of date (current owners have been in place since last August 2023). I found the new number in Facebook and had a prompt response on Messenger. They are good ale pub, reasonably priced and have been serving food again for the last 3 months apparently (been a couple of changes in ownership). Sunday roast was excellent served with fresh vegetables at £13.95. Very pleased we kept our reservation after reading a bad review on here"

"Sanam is our go-to Indian takeaway, it's close convenient, service is always quick and staff are always super friendly and go above and beyond for us every time, the owner is absolutely lovely and always takes pride in the quality of his food and...his customer service, beautiful food every single time! "I went out for a light lunch today with a friend and found Made at Number 18 to be a great spot for a meal. I ordered a salad with warm pear, warm beetroot, and Goats cheese, and requested that the dressing be served on the side to avoid overpowering the delicate flavors. The salad was perfect, with a variety of lettuce, chopped tomatoes, cucumber, and chickpeas. I didn't need the dressing, but my friend enjoyed it with her quiche, side salad, and fries. The service was quick, the staff were friendly, and the prices were reasonable. I would definitely recommend this charming independent cafe/restaurant to others and will visit again. The tables were well spaced, and the toilets were clean and fully stocked."
