"I visited this restaurant for drinks during our anniversary weekend, and I absolutely loved it! Their cocktail selection was outstanding, and the service was incredibly attentive. You could really tell that the drinks were crafted with care. Overall, the atmosphere was beautiful, and it’s clearly a popular spot to visit. We will definitely come back when we’re in the area! Unfortunately, we didn’t get a chance to try the food this time, but we might on our next visit. The quality of the drinks makes me optimistic about the food as well!"

I had a brunch at the Loopy Shrew in their secret garden out back. The location was great, and the staff were very friendly and professional. The food was fantastic. I would definitely recommend it!

Lovely pub in Shrewsbury. Rooms are great. Big bath and shower. Bed comfortable. Some strange sounding items on the menu but delicious. A real happening place. Ella waitress is lovely and very helpful

Had a short stay recently. Lovely friendly staff. Good, lively atmosphere and delicious food. Excellent position for sightseeing around Shrewsbury. Don't stay here if you want peace and quiet . . . definitely stay here if you want a good time

City centre, gourmet standard food, excellent bar (well stocked, well managed, and very tidy! and great service. But BOOK to ensure you get a table. The Loopy Shrew is busy at the weekend and is generally fully booked all through the peak times in the summer. Visualizza piatti

The Sunday roast was very good when it arrived at the table, but it was served without any vegetables. I had to ask the waitress twice, and I ended up eating half my meal before the vegetables finally arrived, which was about ten minutes later. I was quite disappointed.

the service was pretty good, we didn't have to wait long for our table. the food was very good, we both had the burger who was delicious. we ordered olives while we waited, they never came, even though we reminded the waitress that we had ordered them. I'd go back, hopefully next time we'll get our olives!

From the moment we arrived, we loved everything about the place. The staff, the food, the cocktails, and our room were all outstanding. We had a fantastic time, and nothing was too much trouble for the staff; we felt truly welcomed. I highly recommend it, and we will definitely book another weekend there very soon! what a wonderful place very busy. we were on vacation looking for a dog friendly place to eat somewhere. we were not disappointed. we had a sharing board and it was absolutely delicious. good customer support also because the young waiter has found us a taxi number and we fought with the 2 numbers we had. we'll find ourselves at our next visit.

We discovered this charming restaurant during our visit to Shrewsbury yesterday. It's definitely a dog-friendly place! We enjoyed the fish goujon buns accompanied by peas, lettuce, and crisps, and we also ordered an extra serving of triple-cooked chips. The servers were incredibly friendly and the meal was excellent. One particularly knowledgeable server provided us with information about the nearby park. Thank you in advance!

"Beautifull hotel, I guess one can call it trendy , but I just don 't understand how they can justify the price £130/night and that most of the time will go to £160 as they run out of entry level ones. So I guess the answer is there because people pay for it! But let 's just make some relevant comparisons Birmingham Grand literally in the heart of the city, brand new, 5* hotel, with all recently decorated rooms to the highest standard is £135 15 for breakfast. Needless to say rooms are air conditioned, fully equipped and genuinelly very posh. Hotel has lifts, has porters and the service is top notch. The Lion is barelly 4* just for trendiness alone, but the actual quality of furnishing is closer to 3*, has no lift and you will be lugging your bags up and down mutiple flights of stairs (and I mean multiple like 8 going up and down) trought narrow corridors to mediocre room (nothing wrong with it just mediocre) which isn 't even air conditioned. Sorry, I just don 't get it. That said restaurant is good fully fine dining if you are into it. Althought in my oppinion it doesn 't fit into the rest of the hotel. So it is ~3.5* hotel which is very youghtfull and trendy and then you get 5* fine dining with very tiny portions for the dinner (which is not criticism of restaurant, it is very good on it 's own). In conclussion I just don 't get what niche this hotel is filling, who stays there and why. The price for the rooms should be £75 95 tops. Shreesbury is not exactly prime tourists destination either (at least shouldn 't). But it seems it is working out for them, I just would not recommend it, I would not stay in it again and it is definatelly not worth the price. Neither in isolation, nor in comparison."
