The Mallard Beefeater

Although all other drinks are priced up why are there no prices for draught beers and ciders on the drinks menu? A suspicion of price manipulation methinks.

Good food. Excellent service. Hannah really looked after us. Served quickly and took the time to check we were OK. Partner had a steak and it was cooked perfectly.

Lovely meal of Steak. Served by Hannah who was excellent. She helped out with my Coeliac menu and was very attentive to my needs. I would highly recommend The Mallard.

We recently ate here as a family of 8....from start to finish our service was fantastic A massive thankyou to Jordan and Tiny in the kitchen for our outstanding steaks....each 1 of us wanted them cooked differently and they all came out at the same time and we're all cooked to perfection

Love going early for early dinner and drinks Staff are very welcoming and great VFM Had an amazing server called Lewis. He was so kind and customer focused. Lewis made us feel very special. What a refreshing change to have such a brilliant young man who cares. Thank you everyone and especially Lewis

Three of us came for an evening meal, we were seated by Dee who was extremely pleasant from the moment we walked in, i think he was a manager, he explained everything to us and and took our drinks order and then told us Jade would be looking after us. Jade from the start to finish was amazing, so kind and helpful. The food was just amazing, great portions too. Credit to the business in my opinion, will be happy to return here again

We had the day off and thought we'd treat ourselves to breakfast. It was a Monday morning and very quiet, so they were cooking to order. You can still order as much as you like. There was a good continental selection and it was all well stocked. The croissants and pains au chocolat are now kept warm, which i personally prefer. There was no orange juice available, but that is just a minor quibble. The staff were friendly, the food was good and well presented, it was a comfortable setting and excellent value for money at £9.99 each. A good start to the day. Will definitely return.

Kim and Dee at The Mallard are exceptional hosts. They are friendly, efficient , very customer focused and lovely people. By being ready to serve and pleasing you feel very relaxed to enjoy a lovely meal . The food was hot, appetising , tasty and plentiful. The fish was particularly white and hot....beauty. Both Kim and Dee are obviously highly trained to customer perception and respond positively and upbeat. Both smile and converse with customers which is both welcoming and great to see. Beefeater should appreciate Kim and Dee because they are worth their weight in gold. Dee has a very handsome smile and Kim has a beautiful smile. Well done guys, you were mint

Don’t usually review places however saw someone moaning about something being empty… We come here for breakfast as a family of 4 once or twice a month, some days are like today where they were rushed off their feet. Every single employee needs a special mention that was working the breakfast shift on February 4th. They were all on top form constantly rushing about keeping things full. Yes they ran out of things however they were instantly on the case to fill it up. No request is ever too much. My daughter always asks for her pancakes heated in the microwave and even though the staff were all busy a young woman took care of this request quickly and made her feel happy.
