We visited yesterday, Bank Holiday Monday. Food was very nice. Fairly long wait for food but it was a bank holiday Monday and it was very busy. Food was very nice, well cooked even for our fussy family.

We went today late lunch we both had gammon steak which was well cooked we have been coming here for many years and always enjoy our visits with family or friends very helpful and friendly staff we will be back next time we are in...the area can highly recommend

I had a big mixed grill this afternoon and marie had 8 oz. none of the meat was cooked well, it was all hard and tasteless. everything seemed like it was cooked and reheated. even the chips were not nice, didn't seem...fresh brooms were washed out and tasteless. about all completely disappointed and would not return Visualizza piatti

Decided last minute to visit today as we fancied a family pub dinner. Service was awful, bar staff were full of attitude and talked down to us Ordered a sirloin steak and it was gone off, smelt and tasted like sick, never had anything like...it The meal was refunded but staff weren't very apologetic about it Will not be returning, used to be an excellent pub now it is awful

don't waste your time and your money here on Tuesday. 5. mai 18 clock we came to the building, a polite young lady took our order 10 minutes later delivered to our table presentation was good. the taste was terribly newly heated fry’s crowned chiffs chicken breast covered...with inedible cheese sauce. when we went into the bar to complain that the manager will disappear a act that will leave the bar person to interact with me .coward I will not return.

very surprised that the pub was not much more business. friendly bar and restaurant staff. very efficient. 2 steaks and a bottle house red for £20! eat well and wee beautiful. pfeffer boar even with fat cut was good portion size. not too many chips that are good for me, like others put fill the plate with cheap chips that are then wasted. a great meal and fabulous value for money. 4 meals and drinks for less than £40. a large selection of meal times and a somewhat more expensive menu. here for a meal, while camping on a large camping site only on the street called ashby lane farm. we were a group of eight adults and one dog. having a dog with us was not a problem, they have seats for people with dogs. the meals we had were all great, none of our group found any mistake with eating or service. everything was reasonable and good quality. the pub itself was clean light on air and we felt comfortable eating here. we hope to visit the camping site later in the year and will eat here definitiw again. thanks to the staff who served us, they were all great.

We come here most weeks as the food is good and most staff are nice. The manager even specially arranged that the chef cooked a special that was discontinued. The bar man is great too. But One girl is a miserable sh1t!! We had an...experience with her in the past where she messed up an order but then lost her temper and told us to keep the shandy instead of the beer that was ordered (erm no) The other staff apologised and couldn't believe her attitude. She appeared to have been moved to the back of house but today she was stomping around the restaurant, dropping plates on tables and scowling. This is the first time here in three years and wished we had gone elsewhere. We found a table and decided what we wanted to drink, I asked for a bottle of French red and was given a bottle of house red, I asked if...there was a different wine available and was told that’s all there was, even though I could actually see a bottle of Bordeaux unopened behind the bar. I think this guy was a manager. He was totally uninterested and made me feel like I was an inconvenience being there. We chose food and went to order I pronounced the espetada wrong and the young bartender seemed to take delight in pointing this out to me. I chose gammon.
