A cosy and traditional country pub with a very convincing sleeping cat! The food was amazing. Not only beautifuly presented, but cooked to perfection truly delicious. We'll definitely be back.

they enjoyed a home made steak and ale cake and others had the cured sweetcakes. friendly hostess offered extra gravy. tried bobs apfelsine, as recommended by one of the locals. good a visit worth and dog friendly.

Nice meal last Thursday at The New Inn. We were made very welcome and enjoyed the fish and chips, dessert and drinks. The staff gave a birthday cake to another guest which made her evening, which was a nice touch. The church bell ringers also dropped in for a pint after their practice. Great to be able to pop by and support a proper community pub, really recommend The New Inn.

while we stayed in the opposite, we wanted a nice family meal after we found the new inn to be close to where we were, we booked a table. it is a bit off the beaten track, but 100% worth the trip. a rustic, cozy pub with a traditional British pub feeling. eating was for dying, incredible quality and a place where I would like to return again and again. as a food lover, I cannot recommend this place very much.

very friendly pub, very tasty eating, very dog friendly. we were a party of seven adult with two dogs and we loved it here, we found it only at the end of our vacation! we asked ourselves to order more likely than four glasses of drinks we talked about were brought on our table to try. they were happy to change a few dishes to our requirements, and the cook then made another helpful suggestion that we liked to accept. to recommend this place, they will not be disappointed. :

Myy sister and I were on holiday in Devon and agreed to meet our Nephew who is working close by and agreed to meet for lunch. We found The New Inn by searching online and were not disappointed. We received a warm welcome. It was a rainy day and the fire was lit. We all ordered a Sunday lunch which was lovely. The owners were very accommodating to our requests. The meal was very reasonably priced and affordable for families on a tight budget (approx £7 for a child's portion). Desserts were good too. My Nephew was so impressed he booked for the folling Sunday there and then.

We came for lunch and were delighted to be offered some menu items very different from the usual pub lunch menus. We began with spicy Korean squid. Fabulous flavours, and plenty to share as a starter. Next we had Thai chicken curry pies, served with chips and peas. Delicious! The couple who own the pub came to talk to us -she is Thai and took time to tell us how she prepares and cooks the food. I wish we lived closer so could come here again! It was a delightful experience- they were such lovely hosts and we so enjoyed our lunch. If you wish for more usual fare it is also available.
