"Went here to meet up with friends from school as one of them visiting from New Zealand. What an incredible place ! The interior and outdoor garden are so tastefully equipped , the staff could not do more for you, but maintaining a discreet distance , the food was amazing ! Amazing selection of cocktails , drinks and the food choice was unbelievable. Our celiac guest actually thought her meal must be for someone else as it looked so devine and she said she had never tasted better. The landlord and landlady really went all out to make us have the best evening ever! At the end of the evening settling the extremely good value bill we paid a little extra to show our appreciation, the waitress discretely took a member of our party aside to point out it was over the total and was genuinely grateful at the tip, no expectation! An old Bicestarian i, will definitely travel the 40 mins to come back on a regular basis. If you haven't tried here before i strongly recommend you do!"

Random stop off en route. Lovely staff and environment. Limited choice of food but what we had was delicious. Well done new owners!

Despite registering on the parking console in the bar (assisted by a helpful bar person), I have been charged £100 for unauthorised parking. Beware when visiting this establishment by car !

Wonderful Sunday lunch in beautifully renovated surroundings. Roasts were cooked to perfection, wine, beer and cocktails as good as you can get. The teenagers burgers passed too. Price and quality exceptional.

An unexpected find- we just dropped in as a break on a very long journey. Extremely friedndly landalady and bar food a cut above what we were expecting: a club and reuben sandwich beatutifully and promptly made. Great value for money. As you can see from the picture of the bar not neccessarily an ideal destniation for those with strong voews on animal rights. Outstandingly clean. Visualizza piatti

Myself, family and friends have visited numerous times since The Olive Tree Company took over and we have enjoyed our visit on every occasion. The owners and their team are great, friendly and always smartly dressed and you’re always given a warm welcome. The food is fabulous too. Having tried numerous dishes I can honestly say they are delicious. The new management have given The Plough a new lease of life. I look forward to my next visit,

We stayed at The Plough in Bicester for two nights while attending a family wedding in a venue nearby. We had a warm welcome. It is pub with 6 rooms. The double bedded room with en-suite bathroom was very comfortable with tea and coffee making facilities, small fridge and hairdryer. It has a small parking area behind the hotel that is free to hotel guests once your car is registered with reception. The breakfast was varied and well presented. Very friendly and helpful staff. Thank you

The staff when seen were lovely. The location good. The stay awful.. Noisy till 1 am with screaming and shouting from an event which we were not told about. The breakfast awful.. No cereal no extra coffee.. No normal toast.. The picnic breakfast awful was left at wrong door over night in 20+degree heat. When looking for someone to complain to no members of staff on site over night. Room dated with damp see pictures. It's a shame the rooms are dated as downstairs is lovely. Emailed owners with complaint but 3 days later still no response. Disgusting. Visualizza piatti

A group of friends suggested The Plough for a midweek evening get together. Having been previously during the post Covid eat out to help out, which was disgusting, I was sceptical about going. The pub itself hasn’t changed much inside, it is nice. We all ordered different mains from the menu and all said how fantastic the food was! I had the seasonal chicken pie and mash and it was lovely! Small plates were also an option (small plates of typical pub classics) but they too were of a reasonable portion size. Friends enjoyed fish and chips, sausage and mash and macaroni cheese and all plates were cleared! The only down side is there is not a massive amount of choice for vegan options. The man...

Traditional pub about five minutes walk northwards from the main town centre. It is probably the nearest pub to Bicester North Station. It's a characterful place with old stone floors and fairy lights, which add to the ambience. There are two distinct sides either side of the bar, one of which has a raised area. Staff are friendly and welcoming. Food is very basic here this isn't the sort of place to come for that special meal, but what they do, they do well. The menu basically consists of Fish Chips, Sausage Mash plus a range of sandwiches and that's about it. But the food we had was very good my Fish Chips was beautifully prepared: a succulent piece of white fish in a nice crispy batter wi...

"I don't know what on earth happened last night when we had dinner here, the reviews looked good, and we're struggling to understand how. We're very easily pleased and takes a lot to prompt a complaint, but we had an absolutely awful experience. My partner ordered the belly pork off the specials board, and it turned up on a side plate, a very few overcooked bits of diced pork thrown in with a few veg. I had the cauliflower with braised lentils, this turned out to be a few mainly burnt cauliflower florets thrown into a plate of sludgy lentils. The chunky chips we ordered came out as skinny fries, not a big deal but just added to the general lack of care. We were both mortified, to the point of embarrassment. We ate it as we were hungry and there was nowhere else to go as we were staying at a local campsite. One of the team took the plates away, and another brought the bill. Neither of them asked us how the meal was, else we'd have said how disappointed we were. So we just left, just as the table next to ours was commenting on the small portion sizes of their food. We should have complained but we were hungry, disappointed, tired and just wanted to leave and simply couldn't face the confrontation in the busy setting. No excuses but that's how it was. We are very relaxed easy going people but this was a truly disappointing meal and experience and we felt robbed of £45 instead of enjoying what we'd hoped would be a lovely Saturday night out and special occasion."
