We had a wonderful time at the restaurant today! The roast was delicious, and the service was excellent. We booked in advance for a group of nine, and they were very accommodating. It's a lovely place to relax after a 7-mile circular walk from Charlbury. Food: 5, Service: 5, Atmosphere: 5.

I've been visiting this restaurant for the past 10 years, and it never disappoints. I usually order the excellent Sunday roast, but since I was here on a Saturday, I tried the potted crab as a starter, along with the fish and chips and the wagyu burger, all of which were outstanding. This pub is awesome. The landlord is extremely nice as is the rest of the staff. Food is always A MA ZING (and it’s our third time there), and it is also very good value for money. This pub is features early on in Dog-friendly pub-walks: Cotswolds —for a good reason I 'd say. The forest/field walk around it was diverse, lovely and only slightly muddy. The pub had a good wine selection and the food was exquisite, especially their crunchy chips. The manager allowed us to place our order a bit after the two pm cutoff so that was great bonus!
