"I visited this restaurant for lunch on a weekday and had a wonderful experience. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the place was bustling with satisfied diners. The food was delicious, and the service was outstanding. The menu offered a wide variety of choices, catering to all dietary preferences, including numerous vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options. We tried the mixed grill and the vegan chili, both of which had generous portions and were incredibly tasty. I especially loved the hand-cut homemade chips!"

We stayed in York for 3 nights had a meal at the Plough every night, there were 8 of us. Brilliant food very friendly helpful staff. Definitely one to recommend.

Great pub grub. We visit when we're in York to see our son. I love the Nachos and chilli. Hubby and son have tried different meals and always enjoy them. Hubby had a steak last time which he said was very good. Service: 5 Location: 5

Had a very nice lunch, quick service reasonable prices. Good choice on the standard menu, but remember to look at the specials board on the wall, lots of extra alternatives to suit all dietary and ethical choices. What a fantastic experience! The atmosphere was beautiful, the staff were friendly, and the food was absolutely delicious. The restaurant was bustling on Saturday night, but our food was served quickly by our cheerful waitress. We watched as the chef expertly prepared and beautifully presented the hot cake. The inn is filled with warmth and character, clearly a favorite among both locals and visitors. I can’t wait for another opportunity to visit York so we can dine here again. Thank you!
