We decided last minute to go out and stay local. I’m so pleased that we did. The staff were really friendly and welcoming. The service was attentive. food was delicious, There was a lovely atmosphere and even though the restaurant was extremely busy it didn’t affect quality of service or food. I booked the Italian Greyhound for a reunion with 2 school mates who I hadn't seen for over 20 years so was hoping for a great night and we weren't disappointed. We were given a very warm welcome by the owner and Manager. The restaurant had a good atmosphere and was very busy. The service was very good, the waitress that looked after us was lovely and we were all very pleased with our meals, 2 steaks and 1 Pizza and some lovely desserts. We had a brilliant evening and would happily recommend the Italian Greyhound to anyone.

Manager had zero customer service skills, barely spoke to us but was very blunt when he did, got our food wrong, didn’t ask if food was ok, despite leaving most of the food on the plate as the steak was all gristle. The starters were the only redeeming thing. I watched him just put food on other people’s tables without saying a word to them. Waitress/hostess was lovely but looked like she’d had enough. Atmosphere was very frosty. We loved the food and atmosphere with previous owners so really disappointed. May have been an off night looking at other reviews but we won’t be returning.

We had a group booking of 10 family members celebrating our daughter's birthday, and we genuinely thought it'll be a lively place to have a meal with the entire family and celebrate a beautiful day. However, I don't think I have ever had as bad a service in any restaurant like this one! We weren't greeted at the door, found our seats ourselves, took over 2p minutes for anyone to even acknowledge us and that too because I called someone over to take orders...the kids food came AFTER the adults food, and that too as adult portions when we only orderd kids portions, massive waste of food, my linguine bowl was cracked right to the middle, we kept asking bar tender for condiments for menus for ti...
