"Best home cooked food, possibly the best pie I've ever had in my life!! Tuesday night, 16 live acts, the detail and professional equipment Mike has put into this place is second to none. It's a pub with everything you could ask for from a pub! Live music, amazing home cooked reasonably priced food, covered smoking area complete with pool table, dart board, service with a smile, top line up of beer, cider and ale on draught. I couldn't fault it if I tried. Price per person: £10–20"

"Came here for lunch with a friend I hadn 't seen in 30+ years. Small wait for a table, but shown to a table by a gentleman and given menus. He failed to explain that you have to place an order at the bar, although asked if we had any allergies, so we talked for a bit expecting waiter service. We both ordered the Philly Cheesesteak and chips this was £9.50 plus £2.75 for fries. The good came out reasonably quickly. The Philly was supposed to be brisket with onions peppers and cheese. Not much meat in it and oddly it had red kidney beans in it. Whilst not allergic, I 'm not keen and noticed that the "brisket chili was also on the menu. All I can think is they must use the same mix for everything. To me it was poor value at £13 for a sandwich and fries. It was very busy so it must be popular, but there are much better cafes with better value in Lichfield Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch Price per person: £30–40 Food: 2 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 3"

"We booked our Christmas Day lunch, sounded ok with a champagne reception. We arrived and no one said anything to us, no warm Christmas greeting, no do have a glass of champagne. We sat at our table and after a while I had to ask if they served us our champagne or did I need to collect it. We could see the glasses with champagne they were all on a table. We were brought our drinks in wine glasses! I asked if we could all have the same in champagne flutes. Later our onion soup arrived with a piece of bread topped with cheese that had been melted on top. We asked to see the wine list and the lad brought it. My husband ordered a bottle of Montepulciano, the lad said ‘what?’ My husband pointed to it on the list! I asked if we could have some water for the table, ‘yes I will bring some, do you want glasses?’ I said it might help. Starter arrived,my husband had ordered the sea bream, it was hard in the middle. Then the pièce de résistance the main course. I had the turkey lots of it with a big dollop of stuffing on top with big roast half cooked parsnips, shrivelled carrots, roast potatoes I could hardly cut and a dollop of mashed potato covered in gravy. My husband ordered the salmon, sounds good came with the same as my turkey minus the gravy. Salmon was on a bed of what they called monkfish and prawns. I have emailed the pub, but sadly heard nothing back."

"You really can 't go wrong with crepes. They 're a fairly neutral taste and you just order the food you really like and that 's it. You get handed a little packet of gastronomic delight. Your favourite food, put in a little servíng device. Mine was a sweet one, all maple y and sugary. Could just as easily have been eggs and bacon, which I 'm sure would have been just as delicious. However, the genius move here is the serving hatch. They didn 't seem to have it open when I was there (It was fairly windy mind) but it must make them a fortune. You see, in people 's minds there 's a commitment, a positive action and a whole sequence of etiquette when you walk into a restaurant. It 's not often an impulse action. There must have been thousands of folk who Nearly bought a crepe, but couldn 't be bothered with the whole restaurant thing. But with a hatch, it 's like buying a Twix from the corner shop. Walking round the village, brain says Blood glucose a bit low........Sugar and carbs over there and you say a few words to the lass stood in the window and in two minutes you have the answer to all your problems in your hand Easy,.........And wonderful!!!"

"Absolutely amazing chippy, can’t rate them enough so friendly happy to help and the food well awesome, and properly cooked chips nice n brown yummy.. 2 days later I’m back at the Fradley Fryer I wasn’t sure on what I wanted, so Mike the owner gave me a few samples of meat to try.. safe to say I had a mixed kebab with chips. The chicken was cooked to perfection and melted in my mouth and the chips it’s like the old days. Thank you so much for the great food and the chat!!!! Go and visit the Fradley Fryer you won’t be disappointed, and there are a few surprises on the menu"
