This is a fantastic pub hidden away in the South Downs. Very dog friendly, and very friendly landlord. We enjoyed a lovely meal and then headed off for a great walk.

This is one of my favorite pubs I have visited in the UK over the past 20 years. Dave the owner is a very nice guy. The venison pie I had was excellent, and the treacle pudding was outstanding!!!

beautiful environment and good, unpredictable eating. really helpful, friendly staff made our mothers day lunch in the garden feel very relaxed. interior view of the pub looks very traditional and cozy

Hadn't been for almost a year after coming for a last minute lunch, remembered why we love this pub! Staff so nice,food good value tasty of course dog friendly with a beautiful garden,it won't be a year til we come back!
