"The restaurant was fantastic overall, but the portion size of the tomahawk pork steak was smaller than expected. Parking can be a bit challenging, but there are spaces available. The cost per person is typically between £40-50. The food, service, and atmosphere all scored a perfect 5. Recommended dishes include Salt 'N ' Pepper Calamari Aioli, Roast Pork, and Chargrilled Pork Tomahawk Steak with Garlic Roasties and Salsa Verde Rocket Salad. Finding a parking space can be a bit tricky, but there is a free parking lot available."

"This pub is features early on in Dog-friendly pub-walks: Cotswolds —for a good reason I 'd say. The forest/field walk around it was diverse, lovely and only slightly muddy. The pub had a good wine selection and the food was exquisite, especially their crunchy chips. The manager allowed us to place our order a bit after the two pm cutoff so that was great bonus! Price per person: £20–30 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes: Wagyu Burger"

"What an incredible weekend.....unexpected, but incredible. Only booked one night, because it was convenient for Blenheim Palace Christmas Lights, but got snowed in and stranded. They happily booked us in, but more than that, the Luke, his team, and the regulars made us extremely welcome. We thoroughly enjoyed our weekend, and will definitely be back very soon! Wonderful place....oh, and the roast lunch was amazing, with the some of the best roast potatoes I’ve ever had!"

"A lovely place to enjoy a meal with friends, the food was excellent, surrounds amazing, enhanced by great decor of tasteful Christmas touches. This place had the feel of a fantastic country pub, the service was fine as well. So what took the polish off my visit, as everything I’ve said so far has been positive? There are a couple of things that’s left a bad taste in my mouth; the first is the price, obviously you expect to pay for quality, however, I feel that this particular ‘bird’ was taking a bit more seed than it needed. I was charged £4 for a pint of blackcurrant and soda, with ice admittedly, however I felt it was extortionate, I might as well of had an alcoholic drink for those sort of prices. The other thing I know caused the leader of our group some anxiety, and inconvenience to the rest of us, which was that the ‘card reader’ wasn’t working. The ways to pay were cash or bank transfer. Please, if this happens let the people who have booked know, so that they can ensure they have cash, and can let the rest of us know. Nowadays who carries cash? Not many of us, as it caused us all to limit our drinks orders. Bad for us, and bad for business. So let people know in advance, or the very least post it on your website. Good management would be, to have a back up method of card payment of your current provider if it’s so flakey. Don’t let such a fundamental basic thing, let your establishment down."

"My wife, child, and I dined here this evening, and I have to say the food was excellent. It was classic pub fare done really well. We were seated a bit later than expected because I misheard the lady on the phone, but they were quick to accommodate us and promptly prepared to seat the next table. The staff were fantastic. I would definitely recommend this place and would come back again. As for kid-friendliness, they offer wonderful portions for kids and provide little cutlery to go along with their meals. Price per person: £10–£20."
