"The service at this restaurant was not terrible, but it was definitely not great. During our first visit to the bar, we asked the bartender if they served wheat beers and received a response indicating that they had no idea and we would need to find out ourselves. On our second visit to the bar, another bartender, although available, motioned for us to come to him to be served. When we ordered a 'signature cocktail', we were told that an ingredient was unavailable, so we went back to our table to choose an alternative. Upon returning to the bar to order a different signature cocktail, the bartender informed us that he did not know what drinks were on the menu and requested that we bring a menu to him. Perhaps it was just an off day for the staff and not indicative of the usual service, but I can only speak to our own experience."

Great outdoor seating in this pub, plenty of TVs for sport, fast service and good food.

Food was absolutely disgusting, practically inedible Calamari tasted off, chicken and chili was slippery texture with saggy skin and haddock came cold

The roast lamb is divine and the atmosphere in the pub of an evening is lovely. Good spot to watch the game and have a few pints, plus there’s a huge garden for smokers.

This is a magnificent family local pub. Caters for everyone. Families, football supporters, young and old. Outstanding. If they do a community pub of the year then this place should win it.

I must say, the food at this restaurant was absolutely incredible. I started with the Scotch egg and followed it up with the amazing burger, while my wife had the Ham Hock and Rarebit crumpet followed by the steak pie. Everything was delicious and very filling, the kitchen team really knows what they're doing! But what really made our experience special was our waitress, Rebecca. She was incredibly efficient and went above and beyond to make sure we were well taken care of. This place is a must-visit, whether for the history or the fantastic food and team. Thank you.
