The ambiance at this café is unparalleled. The seating and decor are truly luxurious. The coffees are delightful, the breakfasts are nice, and the service is excellent. We had a wonderful time here and would definitely come back.

Warm, friendly welcome. Gorgeous decor! Very clean. Good selection of food and drinks on the menu, reasonably priced. Had lunch with a friend, fish finger sandwich, excellent! Great tasting food. Would highly recommend! Looking forward to returning.

Came to the restaurant on Sunday 15 oct 2023 with my wife and 3 others booked the Sunday lunch 3 of us had the lamb one had chicken and one beef all the meals and veg were delicious and piping hot the service was excellent now I know why you have to book will definitely be back

Previously I've written a good review but today's visit was a let down. The service was extremely slow and I couldn't believe that a traditional cooked breakfast could be produced that was so tasteless. How can bacon be tasteless? A new culinary depth. Didn't complain why spoil the rest of our morning. Asked for card machine to pay and waitress decided she had other things to do. Won't be back in a hurry.

This charming restaurant offers beautiful food with gluten-free options for main courses. However, there are no dessert options such as cake available, which was disappointing. It would be worthwhile for the restaurant to reconsider adding wheat to their dessert menu, as it seems unnecessary. The service was friendly and quick, especially considering how busy they were. Overall, I would have given a 5-star rating if there were more gluten-free dessert options available.

I went to this restaurant for breakfast with my partner and daughter. The setting was lovely, the staff were excellent, and the food was delicious. I believe that independent establishments like this are a great addition to Sunderland and Seaburn. I ordered a full English breakfast and while it was fantastic, I suggest that adding an extra fried or scrambled egg and more beans could enhance the dish even more. It would only slightly increase the cost for the cafe, but I believe it would make a noticeable difference in portion size. However, this minor suggestion does not affect my overall rating. I am excited to return to this restaurant in the future.

Came across this bistro on our way back from North Yorkshire to Northumberland doing the coastal route and decided to stop for lunch (Friday 25th August) We were greeted and seated immediately by a lovely lass, menus were given to us and a drinks order taken. We ordered lamb koftas and a fish finger sandwich. Both were well presented and delicious, a fish finger sandwich doesn’t sound very exciting but this one was fabulous, battered goujons of fish, granary bread served with tartare sauce and mushy peas. We came here on a friends recommendation, who’s usually spot on! Sadly, I don’t know if we caught them on a bad day or what but I was not impressed. My son ordered a Burger which came with chips onion rings. The battered onion rings were so greasy I had to squash them on my paper napkins to try and reduce the amount of oil in them and even then they were just about palatable as all you could really taste was the oil . I had just wanted a dessert . The cakes looked good but sadly, the one I chose must have been the very near end/ last remaining slices of that cake, as it was dry and it didn’t taste fresh at all and one thing I do know about is cakes !
