"My family and I were away in Hampshire and my parents stumbled upon this pub on a drive to New Arlesford. They nipped in for a drink and were in love straight away. They commented on the friendly welcome and the great beer and cider....Consequently, we booked in for dinner the next evening and were not disappointed. We were made to feel welcome from the moment we walked in and were well looked after throughout our meal. The food was delicious and the portions were huge. If we are ever in the area again, I will definitely be sure to visit."

Good new menu for the May 2021 re-opening after lockdown and reasonably priced. Excellent service as usual, good Covid protocols in place and a very pleasant experience all round.

eating in the ship inn is always super. the menu has something for everyone and there are a few specials in the rule that accompany the menu. the greeting is always friendly and it is cozy inside. highly recommended. there are also parking spaces on site. Visualizza piatti

We eat at The Ship Inn regularly and it has now re-opened after the lockdown period with a fab new menu. The food is always served hot and fresh and the welcome is always friendly. There is also parking at the pub as well as...an area to be able to sit outside. Highly recommend.

The Ship Inn is a fantastic place to eat.. We had the best pub Sunday lunch proper Roast potatoes perfectly cooked roast beef and tasty well cooked vegetables. love this pub and it has a great everyday menu.. Staff are friendly good choice of drinks...and well set up for social distance in place due to covid.

what a wonderful surprise at the end of our hike! the ship inns Sundays was certainly worth a 6 miles walk. the food was like home (only better the bark was cooked nicely, with yorkshire pudding and a series of vegetables...and fry. also the brath chicken received good reviews. service was friendly and helpful, many thanks for a great meal. we decided to try the Sunday roast, as the reviews were good. it was excellent! the bark was medium rare and the charge of the beautiful veg also for £12, the drinks were also cheap and the service very friendly. it is to be expected. that after the last 18 months the cost of food and drinks will rise, but these beautiful little pubs are not on the bandwagon of the fees extorted prices. well done!

We were spending a few days walking Winchester to Alton in a heatwave. Although we carried water we ended up stopping off a number of times to quench our thirst. Our drink of choice was soda and lime. The average cost of two pints of...this was £2.80. However we were charged £5.60 at the Ship. I was served at the bar and we drank our drink in the beer garden. We were at the time deciding where to return to for an evening meal. Needless to say we did not return here
