The Star - Piatti

Stopped off at this Pub, unplanned. Very impressed with friendly welcome so decided to eat. Food was tasty and good value.

Still not a bad carvery, plenty to choose from and piping hot. Decor looking a little shabby and toilets not the cleanest. All in all a pleasant meal.

We called in here for a meal at teatime. Charles behind the bar was very helpful. We sat in the conservatory which was light . The food was very good and the service was fast. Visualizza piatti

I went here will not come again food was hard and after getting new veg she put scrapings from one to another flys around the plates and bees went asked sbout a new place she said no never hated a place like this before and had to hate ages

The meals at this restaurant are fantastic, especially the carvery which is always hot and delicious. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. Despite being a busy pub, they are always willing to go above and beyond for their guests. We will definitely be returning in the near future.

We went back to the restaurant yesterday because I wanted to give them another chance after writing a negative review on August 25th. Unfortunately, nothing had really changed. The vegetables still ran out and were not replaced, and the cauliflower was so undercooked that it was inedible. It's disappointing because we have had so many great meals there in the past. I went to The Star on the 29th for lunch to try their new menu. My partner loved the vegan lava dessert, and I tried the new cheesy burger. The food was delicious, served quickly and hot, and the atmosphere was lovely. The staff were attentive, and we particularly enjoyed sitting at table 30, which was nice and cozy. Thank you to The Star for a wonderful experience!

Visited with family. My brother had to change his sons nappy. Unfortunately the only baby change was within the womans toilets. Family members were able to step in and change the nappy. But I found it it appalling that as a single father he wasn't able to complete a basic need for his son because it was within a female facility. Surely during this day and age the baby facility should be located so both genders can access it and wouldn't require the mother or another female present to be able to do so.!

We have visited the Star on several occasions as it is convenient location to meet with family, it is not the best but does represent good value. However the pub is tired and could do with a re-vamp. The reason for my review is to draw the managements attention and our dissatisfaction and annoyance to having to listen to a dog barking the entire time we we there, this is the second time we have experienced this. We could see other diners were fed up with it too. The dog was with people sat by the main entrance, we we barked at on our way in and our way out. There is a garden around the other side of the pub which would be more appropriate place for it. It really is unsatisfactory. Visualizza piatti
