"Lovely setting. Heard good things about the food but it was disappointing. Had Sunday roast beef and it was cold, everything was under done. I feel that maybe it was rushed through and not quite ready to serve. I like my veg al dente but this was almost raw, I couldn’t get my knife through the cauliflower cheese and the roast potatoes were hard on the inside and barely crispy on the outside. Gravy was nice. Shame as lovely pub and staff were pleasant. I did let the waiting staff know at the start of the meal and the end but there was no effort to put it right or offer a discount they just apologised and said they’d feedback to the kitchen. I wouldn’t rush to go back but I’d like to try it again in the summer months as looks like a lovely place to sit outside in the sunshine."

Fantastic setting. Our table was by the window which was perfect, overlooking the broad. Quick and cheerful service. Varied menu with more than adequate portion size.

Staying for three days, had breakfast and dinner, served by Jordan, Jay Debbie, Jojo and Ruby. Food cooked by Ben, Joao, Diego and Paul. Food was exceptional and service was amazing, especially Jordan who was very attentive.

Initially we were attracted to the 50% off. When we arrived the food and service were nothing short of amazing. The food was well prepared and cook just to my liking. The fireplace is a great addition keeping you warm while you enjoy the food and company. I’d like to give a special thanks to Jayden our server. Full of character and great customer service which made the experience very enjoyable! Would recommend it to anyone even if it is a drive away in my opinion it’s really worth it!
