"I brought my partner and family here to celebrate their birthday at the recomendation. I have to say I was more than impressed what a great place to eat/drink. very clean, great view of the lake, very friendly staff. ordering for drinks taken as soon as we sat and did not have to wait very long until the meal arrives. my partner and her daughter ordered the dressed crab from the special menu and although it tasted very nice, my partner krabbe had a little bowl in it. we have not complained, but we have pointed this out to our waitress who brought the manager right away. what a really nice man he was, he was very apologetic and offered my partner an alternative meal without additional costs. the alternative meal just arrived and was perfect. despite the unfortunate experience with the crab that was most likely a departure, eating here was perfect and the service was second on none. we will return here and recommend it to everyone. a great place for couples or families (like children for) to enjoy a beautiful meal in a beautiful environment."

Gorgeous food, great service and fantasic location adjacent to the lake. You can tell the food is home made. Had chicken liver pate and sausage and mash. Superb.

I had Lancashire rag pudding with veg and chips(8.95!)and son had haddock and chips both enjoyed, nice atmosphere and views over hollingworth lake, staff happy and pleasant, best in the area

Absolutely amazing little place right next to the lake just beautiful on a sunny day. Staff very friendly and nice always full of smile. Inside is spotless clean. The food is very good priced and always spot on with taste. Gets very busy on sunny weekend but during the week is just perfect.

Lovely warm welcome, dog friendly, modern pub/restaurant. Great homely food very well presented. Good selection of beers and gins, great wines too. Absolutely fabulous views and attentive, friendly and professional staff. Well worth a walk around the lake and then top it off coming to tthe Wine Press
