"You know when you have had one of those days where things just don't go to plan. Having allowed two hours for a 1 hour 40 minute journey in a hire car out of Munich airport andhaving waited 35 of the 120 available minutes to collect the car; having driven for 1 hour and covered less than 40km through rambling Bavarian countryside before realising that someone had set the SatNav to avoid motorways; having eventually had my much delayed meeting and then taken the car back to the airport and travelled back into town by S-Bahn, having then missed my 8:30pm reservation by half an hour and then having got lost on the way arriving 1 hour late I was in serious need of some comfort food. Vegelangelo is pure theatre. It is like your crazy Great Aunt's dining room complete with Buddhas, Cherubim. antique cruets, candles, salt rocks and flying angels. The plates are covered in large cloches. An upright piano is equipped with candles. It is eclectic, eccentric and extremely homely, seating a couple of dozen at most.I had been on the go for 15 hours without lunch. To be honest I was so tired I felt quite ill. However, Iris Stegmeyr who is chief cook and bottle washer, in fact the only cook and bottle washer - and waitress and maître d' - took great care of me. I felt that my battered appetite needed a gentle introduction to food again and so I ordered a bowl of Miso Soup with Tofu, Seaweed and Vegetables. It was in front of me in about 5 minutes. The soup was good and flavoursome, the few tofu pieces well marinated and meaty, the seaweed in large pieces and very delicious. Vegetables included very fresh endame beans which were crunchy to eat. Washed down with an alcohol-free wheat beer I waited for the next course. This was Soy Strips in and Onion and Red Wine Sauce with Mashed Potato and Vegetables. It arrived garnished with an edible flower which was indeed edible and very nice too.Chewy soya strips were coated in a rich sauce. The red wine was dominant in the flavour. The mashed potatoes (actually more like squashed potatoes) were wholesome and creamy tasting, just what the doctor ordered. As for the vegetables, the selection was more than impressive. Cauliflower; courgette, mange tout, red pepper, tomato and artichoke hearts.I was persuaded to have a desert. Pureed mango with blueberries, banana and a couple of Oreos which Iris assured me were completely vegan. This was washed down with a herbal brew called "Man's Tea" which was spicy and refreshing. This place runs at its own pace, it has to. There was quite a gap to the main course and the bread I requested never came, but otherwise I can't fault the service. Iris was careful to ensure that everything I had was vegan and was able to help me choose between dishes where I was not 100% sure. The restaurant is all vegetarian, not that many dishes are vegan but there is still a good choice. Highly recommended."

A wonderful vegetarian/ vegan dining experience. The food is beautiful and well prepared. I'd definitely go back. I was served by Iris the owner, and she made sure that we were well taken care of.

I stumbled in here travel-weary wanting a vegetarian meal and I was completely satisfied. It was a delicious 4 course prix-fixe, the proprietor spoke English, it was very quiet and beautiful inside.

We only had a quick supper here, so I don't feel qualified to give a 5 rating, but our food was very good. It is one of the sweetest little restaurants I've ever been in. Very warm, cozy, and personal.

This vegetarian restaurant offers vegan options, but you need to reserve in advance and say you prefer vegan, if you do. The food is creative, very tasty and lovingly prepared. The service was fine. The three course meal was just right. Visualizza piatti

Awesome food and amazing decoration! Be aware though, on weekends there's only a 3 or 4-course menu, you have to take all 3 courses. Plus, something which is very untypical for Germany- they add 19% taxes to the bill. So the 3 course menu does not cost 24€ as written in the menu, but almost 29€! Therefore one star less from me. Other than that, everything is awesome. Definitely recommend.

If you look for something special and like bio and/or veg and/or vegan kitchen, this is the place to have to go. The decoration is like you would be at home, a nice home. The menu is not so big but everything is cooked fresh. Some of the things come from her garden! The owner lady will ask about your wishes when you book one day in advance at the weekend.Located just closed to the Isar-Tor and Muich down town, very good location after a city toor! This small restaurant is surely a place where you need to take your time. Most of the food is prepared at the moment, which is of course good, but it also means the service is not exactly fast. Since it is almost a one-(wo)man show, you need to reserve your table with reasonable advance, otherwise she will not manage. We have been at Vegelangelo in several occasions; we always had very nice food, but the fixed menu offer through Groupon.de was particularly remarkable (it's a pity she did it only once...).I will surely reccomend Vegelangelo.

I had the pleasure of enjoying an excellent meal at Vegelangelo with a friend. The food was wonderful and the amibiance a delight! The curry soup was out of this world and the truffle pasta was rich and savory. It was the perfect meal on a cold night. I live in San Francisco and have eaten a number of excellent vegetarian meals. It is apparent that the owner is a very talented chef. My dinner was one of the best meals I have ever had at a vegetarian restaurant. This is a great place to bring a non vegetarian as they will be won over by the sumptuous food. If I lived in Munich I would be a regular. Be sure to make a reservation as the charming place is small. You don't want to risk disappoint...

"This restaurant has a very informative homepage! The pictures and descriptions of the food very appealing. Vietnamese and Thai dishes and sushi are offered here. At noon very cheap offers, but also the prices for evening are still ok. When I read that a lot of value is placed on fresh ingredients and preparation, that sounds promising in any case. The images from the local area also made me positive. I chose the place to eat there with a group of 8 people. But I'd rather go to the number safe and wanted to make a small pre-test today. When I stood in front of the place, I remembered that I've been here a few times when it was the Mistura Tropicana. I had this from the ambience and the temperatures but not so good memories. It has changed visually but very positively. Much dark wood and also dark tables, chairs and benches. The walls in a beautiful cream yellow. In front of the windows the green curtains are a beautiful color pick. As usual in more and more restaurant 's, the bar is illuminated indirectly with LED, here in a green. My accompaniment didn't find it too good, but I did. Only disturbing for me was a bright, bright metal tree in the entrance area. I don't think it's the rest of the place. LEIDER was very cool. The oven was probably turned on quite late. It became a bit warmer during the evening. Nevertheless, I would strongly recommend a cardigan here. The tables are very nicely covered and there are small floral decorations and tea lights. But they only burn at the tables that are occupied and that was only our table at 6:00. At about 10 a.m. there was another couple, otherwise the place remained empty. The service was super friendly and super attentive and yet with restraint. At dinner I did not discover my beloved Bo La Lot on the map, a pity! So my choice fell on baked Wantan (3,90€) that are made themselves. They were already at the table. That really went very hard. But they were really made themselves. The filling is quite captive/compact (I lack the appropriate word to describe it better, but well tasted. They were very crispy. Sweet Chili Sauce also tasted good. We didn't have to wait long for the main courts. Once roasted rice ribbon noodles with chicken (10,50€ and once red curry with tofu and vegetables (9,50€ . Great that they are placed in bowls on a small tree, so the dishes are warm longer. The dishes were served in beautiful bowls. Only the parsley as decoration is already very retro; taste also very good. Vegetables had a slight bite. Beverage prices: 0.4l water for 2.50€, soft drinks/choices 0.4l for 3,50€ and wine 0.2l for 4,00€. And unfortunately again here the beer is cheaper than a soft drink: 0.5l for 3.50€. Our desire for separate invoices was met without any problems and we were offered an espresso or schnapps etc. Here we liked to pamper with a plum wine. There are still a few small comments: Sushi is not available for the next 14 days (Sushimeister has vacation we only experienced on request, I would have liked to know as an info if the menu is handed over toilets are in the basement, so not disabled. However clean, although very 70s The customer parking places are not freed from snow (request: obviously the evaluation was read, because at the 2nd. Visit was the snow cleared A few words to the 2nd visit with 8 people: The place was not overly crowded again, but there was a birthday party in the basement that had only made karaoke and from 20/20.30 we went up to the restaurant for dinner, but we had just been in the break. Service very nice and friendly. Beverages and food were often served only from one side and we guests should then pass on, we all found a little disturbing. Better 4 guests from one side and the other 4 then from the other side. There was Krupuk. Afterwards we still have mango with a mixture of salt, garlic, chili and shrimp powder get VERY sharp, interesting and tasty. In addition, candied ginger (also delicious . All ordered dishes have been good and very good! Only the fact that Pangasius was panned in the Rotcurry was not so beneficial. Because he was covered with redcurry, the panade was very soft and gly. Either I got to serve it separately from each other or better: use Pangasius nature. In the menu there was no indication of panade. Portions all very big! Service and food have definitely convinced me and I also like the ambience. (Okay, except on the flashing LED tree."

"I often feel like visiting a Greek restaurant as a short trip to Greece. Pleasant holiday memories come high and winter before the door is quickly forgotten. If you travel with the S-2 from Munich towards Erding, you will find the glimpse of this Greek restaurant at Feldkirchen's tributary station. Large chestnuts with a typical beer garden, a beautifully renovated house. One hopes for a good meal at perhaps cheaper prices than in Munich. The restaurant was well visited when I entered. The guest room consists of two interconnected rooms. The decoration is Greek-altbacken. The tables and chairs are very close to each other. The greeting was very friendly, we were immediately shown a place. An ouzo was also brought together with the menu. The menu did not show any special features, but that was not expected. The number of dishes beats, the variation of the individual dishes is often low. That's relative. I had grilled Gyros with baby calamaris, with rice, Zaziki (remembered to a finished product) and salad. The Gyros was good, the Kalamaris – well and he rest really was not worth a review. The restaurant is recommended, otherwise I would go for a different location for dinner. The beer garden seems worth a trip in summer. The old chestnuts are also very worth seeing without leaves. Other: The toilets are clean but not clean. Rich parking available. S-Bahn at a distance of 30 m."
