"During a family weekend visit to the area, we pre-booked a Sunday roast at this restaurant. Unfortunately, it fell short of our expectations. Despite there being 8 of us ordering drinks and lunch, we waited nearly 50 minutes before receiving any beverages, which were only a few cans of fizzy drinks and 2 milkshakes. Contrary to what previous reviewers had mentioned, we did not receive water for the table. Our food finally arrived over an hour after ordering, and it was not freshly prepared. Some parts of the meal, such as the roasted parsnips, carrots, potatoes, and meat, were cold. The cauliflower and broccoli cheese was tasty, but it was not enough to redeem the overall disappointing experience. The service was lacking in friendliness, making this one of the worst dining experiences we've had in a long time. I usually do not leave reviews, but this was a definite miss. Perhaps this restaurant would be better suited for afternoon tea rather than a full meal."

Lovely lunch in the garden of this very very pleasant tea room in Dunsford Devon. Food was produced to a high standard and presented well. Great value and cheerful staff.

What a find. Great food, reasonably priced, and friendly staff. Highly recommend. They also do a great Sunday Lunch, but would suggest booking for this, as it gets very busy.

I was excited to visit this restaurant but was ultimately let down. The outdoor seating area was in need of some serious improvements, with ripped tablecloths and parasols. Lovely cafe and guest rooms. We had the king size room. Spacious, quaint and the bed was comfortable. Food is very good. We had amazing bacon and egg sandwiches for breakfast along side cereal and croissants and a great coffee! The breakfast room/tea room has amazing views over the Teign valley. Definitely worth a visit for a stay or to the lovely cafe. The team here are very welcoming.

We stayed at this lovely little gem of a place for 2 nights over Father's Day weekend. Our room, overlooking the church, was quaint and delightful, spotlessly clean, and had extras such as bathrobes, a TV, tea/coffee, etc. The breakfast was exceptional with a platter of fresh berries, granola, yogurt, honey, and pastries. The cooked breakfast and freshly brewed coffee were delicious. For lunch, we had the Sunday roast with cold drinks, but unfortunately, I didn't have room for dessert. However, the next day, I tried the tasty homemade scones, freshly out of the oven, with clotted cream and jam which was perfect. I would definitely go back to stay again.
