The restaurant is always bustling, and the bar service is quick. The garden area is nice, and the beer is consistently good. However, I have a question about the music... Why does it always have to be playing? I can only listen to 'The Carpenters' so many times.

Food was great but service was shocking. Waited ages for drinks; food didn't arrive together accompanyments even later. Cocktails are awful must be bottled or on draft as taste nothing like they should. Ordered different drinks and were served an alternative as they'd run out! No discussion or option to change choice. This charming heritage pub boasts a fantastic kitchen that truly stands out. It's a favorite among locals, and for good reason. The dinner menu offers great value, with two courses priced around £13-15, and two courses are definitely sufficient! Each dish is served hot and beautifully presented. Make sure to book in advance and arrive with a hearty appetite. I can’t wait to return and try the delightful 'honey Charlotte' dessert!

The drink service was a bit slow, but the restaurant was busy at the time. The roast was delicious, although the potatoes had a slightly tough exterior. Unfortunately, the side vegetables were disappointing; they seemed like frozen mixed vegetables that had been microwaved, which was different from my previous visit. I dined with friends last Friday evening. The pub has a lovely ambiance and the staff were very attentive. However, I was a bit disappointed with my meal. I found the chunky chips to be undercooked—I prefer them crispy and golden brown—and the portion of chicken was on the smaller side.
