"We visited this Japanese/fusion restaurant for lunch to try blue-fin tuna at its best. Menu was by QR code and consisted of pictures grouped by dishes ie. Sashimi, ceviche etc. Which is helpful if you are not familiar with Japanese dishes. We chose sashimi to start, with 3 different types of tuna cuts, red, slightly fatty and fatty. The menu uses Japanese words for the cuts instead of Spanish, so ventresca is otoro etc. it would be useful if they also used Spanish words for the cuts then we would have had a better idea of what we were ordering. Portion sizes in full or half size are great, as is menu transparency showing portion weight in grams and what cut of tuna is used in each dish. We then chose 2 tuna tartare dishes, one traditional and one ‘spicy’ both were excellent, and even the picante one had well balanced flavours that still allowed the tuna to be the star. We then chose fresh and zingy tuna ceviche, white truffle and tuna nigiri, and tuna and pancetta nigiri, although both non-traditional nigiri the flavours worked really well together. Our only non-tuna dish and cooked dish was vegetable and langostine tempura, which had a lovely light crisp batter. We were really impressed with our meal here, and definitely can’t wait to come back, we will have to brush up on our Japanese and chopstick skills in the meantime!"

Fette sottili di pesce crudo, servite fresche, accompagnate da salsa di soia e wasabi.

Ceviche: Pesce crudo marinato con lime, cilantro, cipolla e peperoncino, servito fresco con note agrumate.

Torta cremosa al formaggio con una base di biscotti croccante e un tocco di vaniglia.

Experiencia gastronómica muy enriquecedora. La comida estaba muy buena, el menú degustación corto está más que logrado. Tengo que destacar la correcta atención de los camareros.

Valor seguro. Un top dentro de la comida gaditana con toques japoneses, o más bien japonesa con toques gaditanos. Continuamente innovando. Habrá que volver a ver los nuevos giros en la cocina.

Un saber hacer. Cocina con gusto y cariño. Si pasas por Barbate debes probarlo. Es cierto que es más caro que otros establecimientos pero la materia prima, la elaboración y la calidad justifica por completo el precio. También cuentan con un menú degustación. Todo muy bueno y la tarta de queso brutal. Para repetir.

Que rico todo. La comida buenísima, lamento no haber pedido más, y más y más hasta explotar. Productos de calidad tratados cómo debe ser, que más se puede pedir. Fusión Barbate- japonesa con mucho estilo. Y el servicio, inmejorable. Nos han recomendado bien, nos han atendido mejor, y con simpatía y buen hacer, un 10. Lo dicho, muy recomendable.

Yes ok it’s expensive, but once you put in the quality of the products used and the attention to detail on everything they do... I don’t think it is anymore! Every dish was pure deliciousness, the wine accompanied the food perfectly, the service (Juanma in our case) was attentive, friendly and knowledgeable! Definitely a must visit if you’re in the area!

Fuimos hace unos meses a almorzar y volveremos. De todo lo que pedimos destacaría: SANDWICH KATSU SANDO: EL MEJOR SANDWICH DE MI VIDA. La presa ibérica por el sabor tan especial y diferente. Niguiri de vieira, como mantequilla. La parpatana a la brasa...otro nivel, la textura es un espectáculo y el sabor, más de lo mismo. Postre de las tres leches...nunca había probado algo así: jugoso, ligero y fresco, se ha convertido en mi nuevo postre favorito. Destacar la atención del servicio, los tiempos en sacar los platos y el lugar, impolutos. Sin duda repetiremos
