Wir kamen eher zufällig in den Engel und fanden eine sehr freundliche Bedienung, eine reichhaltige Speisekarte, auf der unter anderem interessante vegetarische Speisen zu finden waren. Das ist in Baden-Württemberg keineswegs selbstverständlich. Und was wir gegessen haben, fanden wir sehr gut.

Wir fragten ohne Reservierung nach einem Tisch und wurden sehr freundlich an einen "Not-"Tisch verwiesen. Die freundliche Bedienung, die nette Atmosphäre und vor allem das hervorragende Essen ließen den Tisch im Eingangsbereich vergessen. Für den folgenden Abend haben wir gleich reserviert und wurden nicht enttäuscht. Sehr empfehlenswert!

Wir waren nach einem anstrengenden Wandertag im Gasthaus "Zum Engel" und haben hervorragend gegessen. Neben einer sehr leckeren Salatauswahl haben wir verschiedene Gerichte der Karte bestellt (Steak, Pfännchen, Nachtisch). Jedes der Essen war lobenswert, die Steaks jedoch waren überragend. Sehr zu empfehlen. Guter Service und gemütliche Atmosphäre.

We've been coming here for a few years now and gave never been let down. The food is great, especially the fresh trout, the salad buffet is excellent and the staff are invariably friendly and competent. The location is special. I can't believe there are 6 better restaurants in Hinterzarten. In 16 years coming to the area I have only found one that compares, the Adler.

Wir waren zu zweit zum Mittagessen hier. Glücklicherweise haben wir noch einen Platz auf der Terrasse bekommen, von der man einen schönen Ausblick hat.Der Service ist sehr freundlich und schnell.Das Angebot an Speisen ist groß, die Auswahl fällt einem schwer:-)Wir hatten Ziegenkäse mit Speck an Blattsalat und selbstgemachte Bratwürste mit Bratkartoffeln. Beide Gerichte waren sehr lecker!Wir würden hier jederzeit wieder essen.

Nach einem erholsamen Rundweg bei wunderbarem Wetter in Hinterzarten haben wir hier einen wunderschönen Platz zum Genießen gefunden. Auf der kleinen gemütlichen Terasse mit wunderbarem Ausblick in den Schwarzwald fühlt man sich sofort erfirscht. Ein besonderer Genuß ist das variantenreiche Salatbuffet. Eine große Auswahl frischer und bunter Salate, jeder mit einer besonderen Note, lädt zum schlemmen ein. Danach haben wir uns schwarzwälder Spezialitäten gewindmet. Die vielfätige Auswahl hat uns die Entscheidung nicht leicht gemacht. Wir waren mit unserer Wahl sehr zufrieden. Und die Gesichter der umsitzenden Gäste leisen auf eine gleich gute Erfahrung schließen.
