"... we didn't regret our visit. On our journeys we have reached much worse resting places. We stayed on a Thursday afternoon 2 persons in the “Maxi-Autohof Lauenau”. Lunch is worth a visit, especially as there is a free day soup. In addition, there are 11 MAXI parking spaces on the highways from the advertisement of the “MAXI car parks”, we had a voucher book “2for1”. This promotion is also via the website of the “Maxi-Autohöfe”, where there are 2 foods at the price of a “Order 2 Numbers 1”. We ordered a 250 g carving “Tessiner Art” with tomatoes, cheese and roast potatoes and a carving “Jäger Art” with pommes for € 13.49. The buffet is not in the restaurant, but in the hall, in front of the restaurant entrance you can see pictures . The menu is very diverse and has interesting varied dishes, complemented by regional and seasonal specialities, a delicious steak card and constantly changing promotions. Due to the non-free seating areas/tables and rustic amenities, the restaurant is simple despite the resting area and you feel a bit like in Bavaria. Since this is a resort, you should also note that most guests are long-distance drivers and the restaurant is therefore not necessarily suitable for a “Candle Light Dinner”. But if you want a lot of food, you'll be fine here. And what we like is Köstritzer black beer from the barrel in the tank. We also liked the very attentive, careful, friendly and fast service. What we didn't like as much as other critics were the roast potatoes. As can be seen from the picture of the "Tessiner Art" carving, these were simply cut too thick. We also believe that, as noted by another critic, they had nothing to do with the advertising of the Maxi parking places “...confusing and brought to the table”. Otherwise we were satisfied and can therefore recommend the “Maxi Autohof Lauenau bei Lauenau”. Those who travel on the A2 and feel hungry should try the “MAXI-Autohof Lauenau” via exit 37. ... a way worth it"

"We were on site at 5:00 and were the first. We had ordered quite fast food. After we ordered, the operation came back about 15 minutes later and said that an order was empty and that one should choose something new. Ok comes before but then please right after the order. We've been waiting for our food for 1 1/2 hours after the order. We were there extra early because we had small children, which was previously announced when booking. Guests who came after us got their food pretty fast. An unding! The table from the chair was loose. Positive; welcome from the owner was friendly and open minded, the service was friendly and for fun to have!! The food was delicious and the pommes were still crispy after they were cold. If you want to go there with friends to the sound, the atmosphere is very nice. It is not recommended with children. (This restaurant is not barrier-free. However, has nothing to do with my upper rating, only one hint) Parking: parking is sufficient."

"We were here for the first time on recommendation today. Due to the beautiful weather we could sit outside, which was really nice. The first thing that seemed positive to us was the beautiful and appealing furniture that sprayed appropriate Greek charm.Even in the interior it is beautifully tastefully decorated and radiates a pleasant atmosphere. This is usually known differently from other Greek restaurants, rather rustic, or with plastic chairs in the outdoor area.We have ordered an appetizer as well as 3 different main dishes. From our point of view, the map is perfectly compiled. Not to be overloaded and it was not tried to be “specially” doll.The dishes were all very appealing and the most important: It was really very tasty and hot!Also the service of the staff was honestly friendly and not set up.We will definitely come back and are very happy to have found a new favorite restaurant here in SHG.P.S: Cleanliness throughout the restaurant, must also be mentioned again. Really top!"
