"We found this restaurant whilst looking for another that we had been to last year. However, we were so pleased we chose to try Pointu as we had the best meal with such fabulous service and delicious food too! Every table was taken, but when we saw another one free and asked to move (away from the smokers), our waitress who was extremely busy serving everyone didn't hesitate to move us. It is the little gestures that count as always and it was so kind of Anais to move us. I can't recall what we ate, but I think we shared Burata and I would have had sea food pasta as my main meal. The wine was great and not overpriced either..we did not have any room left for dessert! All of the food looked extremely tempting and of high quality, looking at the other diners' meals. The location is great and near to the harbour, you just need to have a walk around the side streets, away from the people watching bars at the front! What we liked most was Anais, our fantastic waitress and we gave her some advice about travelling to the London! We popped by the next day to say hi and we fully intend to return next year when we go back for our visits to the area. We will be back!"

"le canastal is about halfway the hill from the marina and bookends a very busy corner. the main restaurant is on the right side too foot, with a long street of tables under a brandy, a beautiful interieur; the facility is over the track...with some nice little cocktail tables and a few other inside. we decided for the first dinner here because the pizza looked good and there was plenty of change on the menu to try different things. we liked it so much that we came here during our STT stay. our thanks especially to olivia, the hostess who loves ski and snowboard, and natalie who was our server two of these evenings. olivia is very attentive to the guests. we had the quattro formaggi pizza, sans tomatensauce et sans chevre three nights in order. the first and third pizzas were wonderfully fresh chewing teig, which was light and airy; and the cheese was wonderful gooey and fresh. the second pizza was very different with the sauce, there was little cheese, and the crust was thin, not smokey and not fluffy. the best entrée was the grilled sirloin and roasted kartoffels, followed by the Kalbs-Mal milanese. the salads were small. cote du Provence vin rouge was very good. it's a wonderful place and we miss it."

"My wife and I wanted to find somewhere which was off the beaten track of all the port facing restaurants! We were over joyed with the food, it was tasty and different. Prices were very nice and we didn't walk away feeling we had over paid. We are heading back to St Tropez in a few weeks with Friends and would very much like to return. The staff were so friendly and service was excellent. Thanks for a lovely meal. ."

"The bold bodyguard treated me unfairly and told me I needed to buy new clothes, which left me feeling deeply embarrassed. I had been enjoying beautiful days in St. Tropez, but this incident on my last night ruined the entire experience. I've noticed similar behavior from some French employees towards tourists who don't speak French fluently. I understand that my review may not have much impact, as I'm just one of the thousands who visit this café/bar. However, I wanted to share my disappointment and let others know what they might encounter if they choose to visit."

"Client depuis des années, je suis étonné que certains princes et princesses passent devant tout le monde et rentre par la sortie pour faire la bise aux serveurs, à la réceptionniste ou aux responsables et se retrouvent placés avant les autres. Quand je vois la révolution pour placer 2 chiffonnières qui ne vont consommer que 2 cafés et 2 verres d’eau et que nous nous réglons 120. € pour 2 petits déjeuners je reste dubitatif !!! Quand je viens déjeuner et que nous prenons apéritif entrée plat dessert et que je vois certains VIP manger une salade et une carafe d’eau je suis vraiment étonné de la différence de traitement !!!! Je suis commerçant mais ma famille et mes amis ne passent pas avant mes clients !!!! De plus aujourd’hui j’ai entendu les 2 responsables parler du chiffre d’affaires de la veille et des objectifs devant les clients je trouve cela vraiment maladroit, on règle ça avant le service !!!! Un peu de classe svp !"

"We went there for sweets after dinner in the harbour and a stroll in the town. The location is good on the nice Place des Lices. When we arrived, the tables had not been cleaned, and the waiters seemed quite stressed. After a while, a...waiter came to take our order, and we asked if they had ice cream and chocolate fondant. We did not see a menu. The chocolate cake was quite good, and the children loved it! Also ice cream and come were ok. When we wanted the bill, the waiter came with the bank terminal and no copy of the bill. He said the price was 54 Euros. I said I wanted to see what we pay for, so he must find a copy of the bill. Then he said the price was 51 Euros. When I asked for a copy for the third time, he was really pissed off, and went to the kitchen for a bill. He came back with it, only with general terms like Hot drinks and desserts , and now the price was 56 Euros!!! Three different prices in three minutes : Even though the sweets were quite good, it is not worth being ripped off by amateur staff for 56 Euros for a dessert, not even in Saint Tropez."

"A great experience. Finally a restaurant in St Tropez at affordable prices for middle class people. 4 stars because there are areas for improvement to be made on a few points. Considering the prices, home fries would really be better. The salad is excellent but could use a little more garnish. La Tropezienne, we are in St Tropez, we want local. Welcome, service and friendliness, nothing to complain about. If you work on these few areas, you will attract all less fortunate people like me. Next to it, 78 euros for pasta. LOL I note an aioli that borders on excellence. And the top seafood!!!!!! I recommend for small budgets. Thanks to the boss for her welcome"

"This was our firstly time here after walking past it for years and boy do I regret that, it was great. Authentic pizzas, thin and crispy with just the right amount of those little burnt edges. A good size for ordering 1 per person or 1 between 2 with a sald or appetizer. Didn't have any of their pastas but everything on the menu sounded great. I ordered their house red wine excellent stuff. What did grab my attention when I ordered my espresso was they grind the beans each time so you get fresh coffee every time, a small detail but alot don't do this."

"I had already gone to this restaurant with my family a few years before and had kept a good memory of it. This time, my spouse and I went to dinner in love. The setting is always as pleasant in its green setting, the food is good (we ordered on the map: foie gras: excellent, langoustine, and pigeon: good. The service, however, leaves it to be desired, especially for a starred restaurant!The wine served several times, by the waiter and rank leader, next to the glass; We had no bread for the foie gras, it had to be claimed.For the cheese plate (there is no cart) the waitress did not know what was in the plate, she had to call another server. Next, towards the end of the meal, the row leader asked the server to set up for the next day (drink the tables and hit them) Then, settled down in diagonal from our table to have a look at it and make us understand that it was time to leave, while we were at the coffee shop. which is very unpleasant. In conclusion, for having made a lot of restaurants in the area, it's not the one I recommend."
