"I visited this pub for the first time today. My friend and I met with our sons for a catch up. Initially the staff were very accommodating and waited for my friend's son to bottle feed before bringing our food. My son is 19 months...old and can be a very messy eater, which has never been a problem at any other establishment. Today he was a bit under the weather and wasn't eating,so made a big mess on the floor. The owner made a comment about bringing out a dust pan, when she cleared plates, to which I said yes okay. We had only just finished our meal and were contemplating a pudding when the bill was put on our table and we were told we had to go. The owner had to shut up due to unforseen circumstances, which is fair and can't be helped. We were disappointed as we were having a nice time and wanted to stay longer. We rushed to pay our bill as we were the last people there and I apologised for the mess my son had left, I had no opportunity to clean up as we had to leave suddenly. The owner started to say she was disgusted in the mess and became very rude. She said that I was basically a bad mother for allowing such a mess to occur. I stated that I would have cleaned up if we had had more time. She continued to be rude and said she was taking a photo incase I leave bad feedback. I told her ,admittedly very cross now, to bring out the hoover then and I would sort it. This was ignored and she just continued to say I should have cleaned up. I was shocked and appalled. We all know toddlers are messy and yes my son is the worst, but surely it is not acceptable to talk to a paying customer in such a manner. If I had known we were going to have to leave early I would have made a start on cleaning up, again something I have never had to do anywhere else, despite offering."

"My boyfriend and I popped in last night (a Saturday for the first time, we didn’t have a reservation but were warmly greeted and immediately seated at a nice table. The restaurant has lovely homey decor and we both instantly felt comfortable there. There was a lady and a gentleman working who were friendly, professional and had a lovely manner which felt un rushed in the best way, i.e they give you plenty of time to look at the menu (which has a surprisingly large amount of choice! without feeling pressured into panic ordering which is what normally happens for me at other restaurants We ordered the Thai platter for 2 to share to start, then the beef massaman curry, the red duck curry and a sticky rice to share for mains along with a Singha and a glass of Sauvignon it was lovely to see the wines were from Tanners too, a good quality Shrewsbury wine merchant. The starter platter came with barely a wait and was absolutely delicious, chicken skewers with a satay dipping sauce, fish cakes with a sweet chilli dipping sauce, some prawn toast (which was extra specially delicious! , spring rolls and chicken wings. Thoroughly recommended, and I especially enjoyed the little pot of grapes and sliced apple that was a really nice touch! The mains came at the perfect time and were presented on top of a pot with a tealight in to keep the food warm as we ate which is thoughtful, they were both tasty mains and we ate every last bite. Perfect portion sizes too as we left feeling full without being too stuffed. Our bill came to £50 which for two really great courses as well as alcoholic drinks is very reasonable indeed. I’d happily pop back here any time and would recommend it for anyone who likes Thai food"

"My husband and I visited here for a meal to celebrate my birthday. The welcome was warm and friendly, the service impeccable. The staff here are simply superb nothing is too much trouble, they are unobtrusive but observant, friendly but totally professional. Many restaurants could learn a thing or two from Sapori. The dining room was bright, elegant, beautifully laid out with lots of space between tables. As for the food ..... We chose the degustation menu at £49 per head. Every course was faultless and beautifully presented. An amuse bouche of salmon pate with a quails egg. Fois gras and chicken liver parfait. Creamy crab served in cucumber slices. Sea bass on basil mash with chorizo and peppers. Duck breast and duck leg confit with a potato and carrot layer. Finally, an assiette gourmand chocolate fondant, vanilla ice cream, creme brulee, cheesecake with strawberries and basil sauce. I 'm afraid I must have been quite tedious, because as each stunning plate arrived, I could only exclaim Wow! The waiter recommended a Chablis with the meal at £28 a bottle it was almost double the price of the wine we had originally chosen but it was the perfect partner to the meal. When I complimented the staff on the quality of the food, service and surroundings, I was told it had taken 2 years to get to this point. Those 2 years have been well spent. Sapori added the Wow factor to a special occasion. The menu changes every 3 months so that 's a good reason to go back. It 's a 92 mile drive for us, but well worth it. Can 't wait!"
