"I finally had the chance to visit for dinner in April 2024 after having been recommended this spot several years ago for its baked good and coffee. Service was exceptional, both warm and welcoming. I took recommendations from the server on options for my meal, settling on the Pádron peppers to start, followed by the Tabouli salad and Lamb Schwarma for my mains. The food was really good fresh and simple. Table water was complimentary and I loved the flat white. Dessert was a millionaire’s rice crispy to go. As a solo diner, all in was £25. I would return and recommend."

I frequently visit this restaurant for breakfast and lunch. They serve generous portions of delicious and nutritious food.

Lovely place. Gorgeous date and walnut bread. Really nice food. Only wish there were more vegan cake options which tend to be a bit boring. Visualizza piatti

We visited with our baby and some of our family. Some of the staff were not particularly welcoming and the cafe was a little shabby inside especially the toilet!! The food was nice but nothing amazing and quite expensive.

This restaurant is a gem! I love coming here because it's always bustling and full of energy. The food is fantastic, with locally sourced ingredients and everything made in-house, from the bread to the cured salmon (which I highly recommend). Keep up the great work, everyone. Marple is fortunate to have you.

While the bread cakes and pastries look nice, the inside has seen better days and could do with a good clean. Worst thing are the countless dogs on extendable leads sniffling round under the tables and, ugh, doing that thing where they shake themselves, releasing unknown quantities of dander into the air near you. Very unhygienic. Visualizza piatti

Food and coffee are great. Cafe allows dogs in. Small space and a lot of dogs. Not everyone likes dogs and where food is being served it is quite unhygienic. Also, couldn’t put my finger on the staffs attitude but having read another review that hit the nail on the head, it’s like they were irritated having us there but seemed really friendly with the regulars and their dogs.

I visit this cafe quite regularly, however the past 2 times the food has being cold, brekkie sloppy and toast dry. There's a tall young lad who seems to always be there and a woman with dark hair who are very friendly and helpful, especially the lad. But there's a woman with an accent that never smiles and can be quite dismissive. I'm not sure if it's because it's always busy that the quality of breakfast is not as it was but its a shame as I will Try an alternative from now on.

"Alborz is a wonderful hidden gem in Levenshulme that serves a variety of Persian and Middle-Eastern food, located on Stockport Rd you could be forgiven for thinking that Alborz is as unassuming as it's humble exterior suggests. However, what lies behind those modest doors is truly fantastic restaurant both in terms of food and service. The interior is understated and tasteful, furnished with Persian vases and ornate tea sets, the tables are close together to make the most of the limited space available but this lends a refreshing communal atmosphere to your meal. The staff were friendly and attentive and more than happy to talk you through the menu and explain the various dishes. We ordered the Mezze Platter to start, this consists of four different starters, and is ideal if you're not overly familiar with Persian cuisine, the homemade hummus was a particular highlight being both fresh and tasty. We then ordered the Alborz special grill for two, which looks as wonderful as it tastes, succulent skewers of koobideh and chicken accompanied by grilled vegetables, saffron rice and a freshly baked taltoon bread which was frankly quite ridiculous in its magnificence and is so large it came supplied with its own stand. This was a true delight to eat and I can highly recommend it. After all of that, we were overloaded with food and couldn't possibly consider having dessert and so, asked for the bill, which led to true surprise of the evening, all of this wonderfully authentic and fresh food came to a grand total of £42. This reflects tremendous value in a time where a meal for two can often prove quite expensive. Overall I would say that Alborz is definitely worth visiting if you're in the area and if you're not well then it's worth making the trip for. If you're a fan of Persian food or perhaps want to try something new then you would genuinely struggle to find such a quality dining experience at this price point."
