"Food was excellent and well priced. I had no complaints at all and was discussing returning for more soon. That was until it came to paying. Our bill was cheap, 31.50 for two of us and we were nice and full. I asked to pay by card and asked to put the payment up to 35 to give a tip. The waiter looked at me and said, “Haven’t you just got cash for the tip?” I replied that I rarely carry cash and would like to just add the amount onto the card payment. I then entered the 3.50 into the gratuity section and proceeded to pay. I went to hand the device back and it was snatched from my hand to where I almost accidently pulled my card out of it. I was then told “I don’t get those tips, I can only keep tips in cash”. All of this was done in an incredibly rude manner. I paid a tip after all, and I now wish I hadn’t. I won’t be going back if that is the attitude you have towards well meaning customers. It’s a shame because we really enjoyed the food and the experience right up until the very last interaction. Have words."

Went back, yet again, the other night 3-Oct-13 I have to keep up my assertion; the roshen-e lamb and prawn jalfrezi weren't oily.

Very disappointing, I used to love this place. The restaurant was empty and the staff could not be bothered. The whole experience can be summed up in one word 'bland '.

The Angel Curry Centre is my favourite curry house where you can bring your own alcohol. Clean and friendly service and the food is great as well. Will definitely go back again.

Tucked away on one of the less salubrious streets of Angel, do not expect five star service or a gourmet meal, but if you are looking for a quick cheap and cheerful curry this is a great option.

Angel Curry Centre is a real find; the deal through Toptable is fantastic value and the food was delicious. The portions of the main meal aren't huge but that doesn't matter when you've also got starters and veggie side dishes. Service was great; they accommodated very capably our need to have everything served at once due to being in a rush. Super.
