"A dinner in this small bistro located in Cap d 'Ail a few steps from the border with the principality of Monaco. The environment aims to recall that of a bistro, and in part it succeeds, even if some pieces of furniture are a little out of line with this setting. The gastronomic offer is very good and is based mainly on excellent quality and well prepared raw materials. We ate a dish of house foie gras, really well prepared, with a delicious onion jam. The second course was meat-based: for me a tartare with asparagus and black truffle. Excellent dish. While my girlfriend had veal fillet with onions and potatoes. Very good. The dessert, a chocolate soufflé, was a bit heavy. The wine list seemed balanced to me, with mark-ups, I presume, adequate for the area, but rather high in my perception. The wine we drank, a blend of Syrah, Grenache, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cinsault produced by Henry Milan, made no impression on me at all."

"Quel nom bien approprié pour ce restaurant... La porte à peine franchie que l'on est accueilli tel un convive dans cette demeure chargée de souvenirs avec les doux sourires du patron et de son fiston haut comme 3 pommes. Une fois installés à table devant une vue panoramique époustouflante, ce jeune chef nous dévoile avec envie la carte du jour (2 entrées, 2 plats et 2 desserts). Tout est ultra frais et l'on trouve quoiqu'il en soit un plat qui nous plait. On se régale et on ne laisse pas une miette car tout est équilibré, parfumé et savoureux à souhait. On trouve son bonheur dans une carte des vins pour tous les budgets et le chef sait finement nous conseiller. Tous nos sens sont éveillés et on se surprend à rêver dans cet environnement si calme et enveloppant de ses si bonnes odeurs.La maman qui aide son fils en cuisine est d'une gentillesse hors pair. On repart heureux de cette belle surprise et on se demande quand on pourra revenir.N'hésitez pas à pousser la porte car ce serait une erreur de passer à côté de cet instant précieux...Merci encore et continuez à faire partager votre cuisine faite avec le cœur."

"Casarella used to be a Corsican restaurant.It is located in the old Roquebrune village and is a quiet and nice location, although not accessible by car.It has been sold a few months ago, and has reincarnated itself in an Italian restaurant, more precisely Neapolitan.I decided to give it a try after a friend's advice.Being an Italian, I am often wary of Italian restaurants abroad, but I went along and gave it a try.What I found was a typical Neapolitan menu, with the addition of a few other Italian classics (carbonara, pesto).We tried several things and were surprised by the quality.The pasta was impeccably cooked, the sauces were made with the best Neapolitan tomatoes, the grilled mozzarella was fresh.Even the carbonara, although not a Neapolitan dish, was faultless.We then carried on trying the meatballs (polpette), and found them to be exquisite.We then tried a Pastiera Napoletana which is a difficult dessert to prepare, and one of my favorites. It was perfectly executed.We were then offered a limoncello (lemon based sweet liquor) and found it thick enough to be the real thing, and not a usual washed out imitation.Prices were more than reasonable and quality and service were faultless.The wine list was quite correct and the wines are listed at reasonable prices.Congratulations to the chef and the team for what they did. It is not easy to open a restaurant in a medieval village: cars cannot access it, it is difficult to carry groceries and to receive deliveries.They were courageous to open in such a location, and in my book, they deserve the praise."

"I knew Le Café de la Fontaine well in La Turbie and for the first time I went to Ostellerie Jérôme. Very wise decision because it was remarkable. Of course the quality and creativity of the dishes that were served us, but also the professionalism and kindness of the service. Nothing of guinea, nothing of obsessive, but the assurance of the gesture. The menu at 98€ allowed us to discover some of the chef's specialties and... we've filled. Have chosen wine with glass, remarkable Pommard 2010. I recommend with enthusiasm and grant him two and a half stars."
