"Its serves traditional french food of a better than average quality and the service is also better that average, however despite its name, don't expect to be overwhelmed by the number of fish dishes, salmon, cod and coquille st Jacques, nothing special. The only real problem for me is that it seems only to attract the older customer at 60, I was probably the youngest by quite a few years. What's happened to the rest of the population?"

Good food, well presented and excellent service. They have a nice garden to the rear where you can take your meal.

Wonderful French food. We particularly liked that we were the only Americans in the restaurant. Our waitress spoke English much better than we spoke French. She was a delight. You won't be disappointed dining here.

Although recommended to us by our host the restaurant was closed for the first half of the week. We went on our last night. We sat in the veranda with a view onto the garden. The €25.00 set menu was super, the service excellent. A most enjoyable evening. Visualizza piatti

The owners of our nearby hotel recommended this restaurant and it did not disappoint. When we arrived we were the only diners, but it quickly filled with locals. The waiter spoke very good English and we thoroughly enjoyed our meal - the food, the ambience, the location - all was delightful.

Restaurant had been recommended to us as we were staying nearby. Ate on a Monday night when it was fairly quite. Received warm welcome by ? owner who spoke very good english and was really helpful in guiding us through menu which was, naturally, in French. Good variety of food which was tasty and well presented. Not expensive.

Very slow service. The food when it arrived was very good. Nice ambience. Minor quibble, the menus available did not correspond to their web site which led to some initial disappointment. It seems that on Sunday the only menu on offer was the €36.50 one. Not a problem for us as this is the one we wanted but could be a disappointment. Total bill for 4 (Meal for 4, bottle of wine and aperitifs around 200€. Visualizza piatti

We went to this restaurant at the recommendation of our Hotelier and we had the most sensational authentic French meal we had whilst in FranceI would highly recommend this restaurant We could not speak French but with a bit of gesturing and animal noises we were able to work out what most of the dishes wereThe Staff were very patient and understandingThe chefs amuse bouche was beyond belief as was the whole mealJust go

"Lovely Normandy restaurant, fairly close to my sisters home and about 20 minutes from Giverny. The Restaurant Gabriel looks “French” from the outside but more Scandinavian modern in the inside with one large room with 60’s wood and Formica tables. Though the room is large it is quite and somehow manages to feel intimate with 60-70s music playing softly in the background. The service was impeccable and the presentation very pleasing to the eye. They promote the products of the region through local producers so everything is fresh. We were each served a delicious cold green pea soup served in a parfait glass. I ordered one of their Menu options, they have several along with a few Ala Cart options. My starter was a shrimp cocktail, again presented beautifully and very tasty. My pork dish was divine and presented on a bed of an incredible chopped mushroom dish. My menu included the appropriate wine accompaniment, which was the only disappointment of the evening – light not full bodied. My sister ordered the filet mignon, again the presentation was lovely however she found the meat touch (she thought it fresh beef rather than aged). Her starter was an absolutely fantastic Foie gras. My brother-in-law’s selection was the steak tartare which he said he would order again. Another lovely evening in Normandy. Price range 30E to 75E including wine."
