"The sonnenhof is probably the best hotel in Kresbron. It sits high up and looks over the lake which is nice. Good things.- Food is first class fine dining. highly recomended.- Room was clean and modern- Staff friendly- Breakfasts good, loads of choice.- Good gym at end of drive (you have to pay extra)Negatives- Rooms small- Sterile character(but most german hotels are)- I think its quite pricey (luckily work pay!)If i were staying in Kresborn id certainly check this hotel out or book into one of the apartment rooms at the Gierer. To be honest you wont go wrong here and the foods fantastic !!!!"

Nice hotel in the best location. Spa and sports areas have a direct feel-good character. The breakfast buffet is a dream, as is the selection and quality in the restaurant. And the view from the terrace is unforgettable.

Stayed one night at the Hotel, had a simple room with partly see view. The Hotel has undergone renovations and is partly very modern. The restaurant is a must. I do not believe there is any other Hotel along Lake Constance with the absolutely awesome sight of the lake such as this has.An absolutely wonderful SPA with a large swimming pool completes the image.For anyone loving Lake Constance this Hotel is a definite must.

The menu was only in German, so had to rely on the translation by the staff. so had to say what we would have liked and they would then say what was similar on the menu, as it would have taken too long to translate it properly.There was a specials board that I noticed on my last night here, but no reference had been made to it previously.The hotel does not really cater for English speaking clients, and the restaurant is the same. I have been in this restaurant, which is part of a hotel overlooking Lake Constance a few days ago to have dinner with a business colleague. The view is probably overwhelming when it is not dark outside. The atmosphere in the restaurant is modern but still warm. the table decoration was nice and the waiters were quick. Overall food quality was very good and all this for really decent prices. I can definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone wanting to enjoy a good dinner at a nice place.

I've never been to a restaurant where your wine is taken away from the table and you have to request a top-up. I imagine that the staff are supposed to keep an eye on your glass but they failed. Good job I'm not a fast drinker! Service was very slow and the place seemed under-staffed. When the food eventually arrived it was very good. Perhaps we caught them on a bad day. The terrace is a lovely spot for dinner but don't go late as it is unlit and you can't see what you are eating once night falls.

"Insgesamt 2 mal eine Pizza zum mitnehmen bestellt, jedesmal nicht gut. Wenig Belag, kein Geschmack, nicht italiensch. Wenn man reinkommt, spührt man, wie der Kellner einen upturn bekommt. Ich lese in seinen Augen, oh je, kein Trinkgeld! Thekenfrau nett, Koch, launisch. Das letzte mal bin ich rein und habe gefragt, ob ich Nudeln mit Lachs haben könnte, und ob er mir bitte gegen Aufpreis etwas Gemüse oder Spinat reintun könnte. Sie sagte sicher kein Problem, muss kurz fragen, dann rennt der Kellner um die Ecke und schreit mich an, was? Pizza? Ich so nein, und erzählte meinen Wunsch, er schüttelt nur den Kopf und sagte das gehte nix. nur was auf karte ist, nimm pizza, ich nein, ich hätte gerne nudeln mit lachs und etwas gemüse, irgend ein gemüse. Die paar Gäste im Restaurant drehten sich um und hatten schon etwas mittleid mit mir. Der Kellner wurde immer lauter und meinte, wir haben nur dass in karte, ist schon fertig gekocht, ändern geht nicht. aber ich frage,.dann meinte ich, sorry, ich möchte keine Probleme verursachen, es war doch nur eine Frage, wenn es nicht geht, dann eben nicht, möchte keinen Stress, er schreit mich an: WAS???? moment, rennt in die Küche und schreit mit dem Küchenchef herum, dann kommt er raus und sagt, haben kein gemüse. Ich habe mich bedankt und bin wieder raus. Ein Gast im Restaurant sagte zu seinem Nachbarn, was für ein Restaurant, ohne Gemüse? Ich ich hätte ihm 10 Euro drauf gelegt, für ein paar Paprika oder Auberginen oder egal was. Es waren kaum Leute im Restaurant. Vielleicht weil ich nicht im Restrauant saß und Getränke konsumiert habe? Habe den Koch paar mal beim einkaufen im Supermarkt gesehen, war nicht so toll was er da geholt hat. Fazit: dieses Wirtshaus ist nicht zu empfehlen!!! Der Gast ist nicht König und willkommen und scheint sich oberflächlich über Wasser zu halten."
