"This is a great little, stereo typical Parisian sidewalk brasserie. It has been around since the late 1800’s and is situated right on the Seine overlooking Isle De La Cite. It is also right across the street from the Chatelet metro station. They have a nice arrangement of outdoor seating with a retractable awning in case of weather. I have visited a few times over the past two years – They have a decent Croque Monsieur, serve an excelled duck (canard)…the duck came with some of the best potatoes I have ever had in my entire life. I have also had the frog legs and they too are very good. This is a great place to stop in your exploration of Paris…good for both a drink or a meal and with a view that you’d be hard pressed to match."

J'étais avec une amie, et j'avais réservé une table au 1er étage, où on est très tranquille, mais en arrivant j'ai appris que le 1er étage était fermé à cause de manque de personnel. J'étais très déçue, comme le restaurant au r-d-c est très brouillant. Par contre, le service et la nourriture étaient au top.

On a warm, sunny morning we sat at this pavement café with its attractive awning and greenery next to the Seine and ordered drinks – wine and apple juice – which arrived with olives. The waiters were happy to let me linger while the others went off to view the progress being made on Notre Dame. A very pleasant interlude.
