Buffet de la Gare - Menu

The staff was very friendly, but we went there as it is marked as having “vegan options” and they have absolutely NO vegan options, unless you can count a side green salad. My non vegan friend said the food was good but a bit overpriced.

This classic restaurant has a good choice of both fish and lake fish. All we tested was very good, service customer oriented with processo aligned to other lower level restaurants in the area. Wine list too short and incomplete comparendo with the Wide menù.

When you pass the door, you really feel like being in a real Brasserie! The service is always nice, people are smily and you feel welcome. We always go for seafood when it is time as it is one of the only restaurant which serves it: it is always fresh and excellent!

Just in front of the train station. Macaroni and hamburger with light salad. Very good taste for both. Pasta very well cooked and dressed. Hamburger without bread, light and tasty. Good service. Old style restaurant with original furniture. Prices in the average. Worth a visit.

We came in to have a lunch at about 5 o’clock. I’ve seen a woman eating oysters and asked a waiter, but he said they are not available during the day. But the woman was near me and I doubt that she brought her oysters with her. The waiter did not bothered to speak English, and the service was not very quick. But the prices are high.

Historical restaurant with a cupula, round ceiling at the dinning room. The waiter was very serviceable and speak fluent English. The menu is in English but the menu for the day recommendation 3 x dishes at special price was in French only. The asparagus soup and the grilled salmon with sparagus are very good. Recommended to drink pino grillo wine. The prices are ok for this kind of place, inside a hotel.

After a long review of the available restaurants in Vevey, we selected the Brasserie La Coupole because of the combination of its historical dome dedicated to the „Fete des Vignerons“ and the variety of dishes. We were really pleased with the quality and taste of their venison, including a Tataki made with deer. The main course based on a boar‘s filet was also great. Don‘t forget their home made dessert with chestnuts. The service was also esquisite and friendly. Thank you!

The decor sets the style. Early 20th century built Pavillon des voyageurs tells the story of the Fêtes des Vignerons, a local wine and vintners festival happening every 25 years. Next in 2019!! Get your tickets. In a typical brasserie setup, the menu also favors brasserie foods. Sourkraut, oysters and calves liver, meet the traditional filet de perches, röstis and steak. Had two meals here in the Pavillon section of the restaurant. We were looked after by Lucio, who was friendly, discreetly attentive and very professional. The food was of good quality and the portions were enormous; only order a first course if you have a large appetite! The house white wine was good. Slightly more expensive than some of the places that we ate in around Montreux, but with plenty to eat you get what you pay for. (Tip if you detest smoking as much as we do, ask for a table on the side of the Pavillon nearest to Vevey rail station. There is a section of the brasserie which is half inside, half outside and seems to allow smokers.
