Café La Liberté - Piatti

Le présentiment Yesterday evening, a chess party with Pierre in La Liberté, my favourite bar between Bastille and Nation.

on a lively street located in a busy place, but had free tables for a group. great vibes. faster service and good cocktails.

I had a late lunch here and while the food was excellent, the service was a little slow. However, if you want good food, you probably want it cooked just before you want it and so this may not be such in issue. Visualizza piatti

We went to this cafe one evening partly because we were tired, it was close, and not very crowded. The food was routine, not especially good and there was always the smell of cigarette smoke drifting in in from the outdoor cafe even though we sat inside.

I ordered he filet mignon and I didn't eat it because it was so tough. The restaurant was dank and dark. It's more like a bar. The owner was a little too friendly. It's very poor quality food. I was disappointed to have eaten there my first night in Paris.

We went on a Saturday evening and the place was packed, but we were able to get in and be seated at a small table. We ordered salads and beer and both were good. The service was slow, but the restaurant was very busy when we were there, so that was all right. Visualizza piatti

A café like thousand of neighborhood cafés. Basic traditional food, experienced and jaded servers, large mirrors, a long counter. Kind of old fashioned. Good location at rue de la Gaité and boulevard Edgar Quinet corner. A small terrace facing metro Edgar Quinet where I used to drink a Leffe . What else ? A cozy room inside where I happened to eat simple dishes like herring or eggs salad, croque-monsieur, duck magret. A decent place.

I don't even know why I came in this place when there are so many other good cafes right there on the same corner. The coffee was very, very good but that was it. I had the breakfast of a croissant, tartine, OJ and coffee...for 8 euros. I eat breakfast in Paris every Sunday morning and have for 2 years and I have never had a croissant like this one. I am sure it was a mass-produced croissant that they took out of a bag. I guess they figured they have a lot of tourists and they would skip serving quality food. Even the bread was the cheapest kind of white, industrial baguette. I was so insulted about the croissant that I stayed mad all day. AT LEAST the coffee was good. None of the waitstaff...

We stopped off here on our first night in Paris looking for somewhere to chill, get a drink and a beer and maybe something to eat. This looked to be very popular with the locals as most of the clientele seemed to be French. What can I really say, I loved this place, and it became a bit of a go to spot for our three nights in Paris. The food on offer is pretty simple, mostly snack food- Croque Monsieur, salads, that sort of thing. We had the Liberte Burgers on that first night and I thought they were very very nice. My Mrs was a bit less impressed as hers was a little under done for her taste, but tasty and plenty of it nonetheless. But the beer..... what can i say about the beer!? I don't re... Visualizza piatti
