Utterly gorgeous food at extremely reasonable prices. Staff are fab, the place has a real homely vibe. Don't be put off by the location, its a hidden gem in the middle of the city centre.

The staff were so very welcoming during our trip and they were so polite. I love how much food and quality you get for the prices it is so worth it. what a fabulous experience! we took students studying Spanish from a local secondary school to experience some Spanish tapas. the owners could not be inviting anymore, they were for all our needs and gave a fantastic tasting experience. all tapas were freshly prepared and the portions were very generous, worth the money. we will definitely be back for another experience. the staff was really friendly and helpful, nothing was too much annoyed. many thanks for such a great welcome service.

It would be easy to walk past this delightful restaurant, but by doing so you would miss out on some of the best tapas on offer. My wife and I ordered different plates plus deserts; and it would be difficult to say which was...our favourite, such were the flavours and range on offer. The staff were helpful and attentive and provided a real value for money service. There is something for everyone with gluten free and vegetarian options; you can also bring your own alcohol if you wish. Whilst you may not expect much on first glance at the front window but enter inside and you will however be greeted with a cosy restaurant where you will be spoiled for choice and flavour.

This was my first time at Cafe Maxim, but not my companion’s. If I have anything to do with it, it won’t be the last. This is a three-option menu; there’s a really good snack menu, some big plates and what we agreed on, some...small-plate tapas which we could share. We agreed on eight dishes between three of us ranging from chill and garlic prawns to patatas bravas via ravioli and sea food sagnaki. In the end it proved slightly too much, so we didn’t finish it all, but it was certainly delicious. I can’t wait to go back and taste the rest of the menu.
