Chaba Thai - Piatti

I often have a take away from these guys but recently the portions have become half the size and the curries a bit watery. Hope they realise that and improve their dishes again.

We hadn’t booked but we’re a little surprised at the somewhat curt welcome, not at all what we have come to expect in Thai restaurants. However that was soon forgotten as the food was fabulous and reasonably priced.

The food and service at this restaurant are always excellent. We visit regularly and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for Thai cuisine. Despite being busy every time we visit, the service is still top-notch and prompt. Visualizza piatti

ordered a delivery when friends came. never used chaba thai before, but was most impressed by the level of service and quality of the food. within 40 minutes on a Saturday night and we all thought it was excellent value for money

Went for a meal on a Saturday night, didn't book ahead but managed to get a table. The restaurant lacked atmosphere and the food was good but not great. The beef in the jungle curry was a little chewy, both our curries had really runny...sauces. Coconut rice was good, mixed starters were excellent. Wouldn't rush back to be honest.

I have visited chabba a few times and have always had a good meal. However last night was poor. From entering and being shouted at my a female staff member about our booking, to like warm overpriced food. The green curry which we always have...was inedible as too hot, I lived in Thailand for 2 years and am used to spicy Thai food. Will not be returning Visualizza piatti

We had a wonderful evening at this well-known Thai restaurant. Many patrons opt for the set menu priced at around £21, which I believe is best enjoyed in a large group to sample a variety of flavors. Instead, we decided to choose our own starters and mains from the a la carte menu. The food was authentically Thai yet still approachable for British diners, with pictures provided for reference. The atmosphere was pleasant and the service was good. We would definitely return for another visit.

We visited on friday evening and not v busy. We had prawn crackers..overpriced at over £2 as most good restaurants offer them as complimentary. I had mussels to start..v chewy and gritty, small portion of 6. Main meal prawn penang insignificant and so mild almost...tasteless. Partner had beef in a heap of slimey noodles, looked unappetising. His starter of dim sum was ok. We finished off with desserts and mine was coconut ice cream with crystalised pineapple and not fresh pineapple. The meal was over £70 with a btl of wine, having been charged £3 for a btl of still warm water already on the table we again assumed complimentary. I typically enjoy dining at this restaurant, but I was very disappointed when I visited last week for one of their banquet meals. The menu was limited compared to their usual offerings and the portion sizes were small. We asked for an extra starter after we finished our meal, and they reluctantly obliged. The duck and pancakes we ordered were tiny, and when we asked for another serving, they seemed unhappy but brought us a small but delicious portion. We ordered three main dishes, as well as a half portion of noodles and some rice. They told us we had ordered a lot of food and would have to pay full menu prices if we didn't finish everything, which was not something we had encountered before... Visualizza piatti
