...and you really pay for the location here...on the Old Opera place, directly in front of the monumental Old Opera house, really full of tables social distancing tables need more space...tables everywhere..... The food was quite nice, not spectacular and the cassata a little...too sweet. Prices definitely on the high end, but hey...sipping champagne on a warm summery evening while having some food and a nice conversation is priceless, now more than ever..

To find a quite restaurant with a nice atmosphere good food an good service where can even bring your dog is kind of complicated. The Charlot is the place I usually chose in case.Downside: Ensure you made a reservation. It can be pretty full. Chose one of the traditional Italian dishes, like pasta. They are great. The place it not cheap at all.Upside: Staff is very friendly and let you know what the best food for the day is. The atmosphere is very personal you feel very welcome. After a busy day in the city or after a long shopping trip, the Prosecco leads you to a different place and you will feel like being on vacation. Wonderful.

This restaurant is located right next to Opera theatre so you have a view of this beautiful building. The menu is not extensive but has many things that I wanted to try. For appetizer, we had the grilled octopus with hearts of palm , olive...oil and lemon. The shaved artichokes with the olive oil and lemon was delicious and the octopus was very tender. We shared our second dish, the tagliolini with white truffles. This dish was good but I have had better ones in other restaurants. My main course was veal medallions with vegetables carrots, broccoli, sautéed potatoes and zucchini. The sauce for the veal made with seasonal mushrooms was delicious. The veal was tender and juicy.
