"Really pretty place with the terrace right by the river. Food is very good, tasty and well presented with some interesting flavour combinations such as melon anise sorbet. The head chef came out to deliver the amuse bouche personally and spent time talking to us about produce which was a lovely touch. The only reason I have marked it down is the toilets are upstairs so it wasn't as accessible as it could be However, the staff happily drove the golf buggy round to the front entrance where the toilets are on the same level (the terrace and restaurant are a level down) and then it's a short distance to the toilets. They were also happy to drive the buggy to the car park to deliver less mobile customers such as my mother-in-law so service was excellent."

"Went here for dinner. Food was good, on the expensive side for what it was. Service was friendly and good, but you expect it to be when you go for dinner. Bit more upmarket place than a pub, nice environment. My only negative was the added 12.5% service charge. My absolute pet hate. What happened to tipping if you want to? I strongly object to this freedom to add it it to the bill without permission. Based on that I would not go out of my way to go back. Life is expensive enough these days without the 'presumption ' you should add a tip for the pleasure of someone taking a food and drink order and bringing it to your table. They are already being paid to do that. If it is a management thing, then increase the prices by 12.5% on the menu and be transparent about it. I object that you add it to the bill, unauthorised. You say, it 's discretionary, and you can ask for it to be removed, that puts a lot of people in an (un necessary) uncomfortable position to have to 'ask ' for it to be removed in the first place. I for one would, others would be embarrassed to do so. How about just 'not putting it there in the first place '? Just because others have started doing this does not make it right."

"wow, wow and wow again. my first perfect score has finally come for service and eating. we had the pleasure to go last night in ayot green at welwyn to celebrate david's birthday. once again we had the goodwill of 106 jack fm , which they had to pay £25 and they get £50 from their bill. the waggoners is a renovated coaching inn from the 17th century and is between pretty houses and huts around a beautiful English green. although it is an English pub, the kitchen is French. in the coming we were great by a beautiful lady, we wish I got her name. our table was in the second room in restaurant, the decor is beautiful and really pub like. make sure they take away while they go through the doorways, as the English must have been very short in the good old days. the service of the time of our arrival was"

"All the staff were extremely helpful, courteous and accommodating. Stephen, who served us at the table, was particularly great. The food was superb and arrived promptly. Our youngest son has autism and has an extremely limited diet. Although there were four of us at the table, he never eats and more often than not is largely ignored by restaurant staff. Today he was made to feel an important part of our party by Stephen who was amazing with him. He gets impatient and struggles with lots of things but he was made to feel very welcome, which we were all very grateful for. We all had a great time."

"After reading some reviews, I decided to take my family to this restaurant for dinner. I was very impressed. The food was delicious and beautifully presented, the staff provided great service, and the best part was the affordable prices. We don't drink alcohol, but for those who enjoy spicy food, I highly recommend trying the house special jhaal huhn. It was like a mild vindaloo with lots of flavor - absolutely delicious. We loved it."
