"The food at this restaurant was delicious, but unfortunately, the nan bread was disappointing as it was flat and chewy instead of puffy and crisp. The service was excellent and the atmosphere was nice for a dinner setting. The price per person was around £70–80. Overall, I would rate the food a 4, service a 5, and atmosphere a 4. I would recommend trying the Chicken Tikka Masala."

"Was here on the 9th of November and we were in a group of 9 with 9 babies, that was specified when booking. Upon arrival it was evident that all the buggies would not fit in the restaurant. We managed to take 5 of the buggies back to the cars. Upon doing this we had to wake up the babies to remove them from their buggy. 3 members of the party were rudely spoken to by a waitress and they were getting rejected at the door due to not being able to return their buggies to the car. They were eventually let in, but 2 members were seated at a separate table. There was only 1 buggy at the main table. As we were all seated the sun was shining through the window, and we asked a waiter to pull the blind down, he said that they don't move and brought 3 sunglasses to the table. This was fine for the adults but what about the babies that were in the arms of their mother's? The members of the party that returned their buggy to the car had to hold onto their babies while eating their food, as they were not ready for a high chair. There was no changing rooms to change the babies, and I had to wait until I was home to change my little one. Overall the restaurant is not baby friendly, and I will not be returning!"

"This is a great wee restaurant, been a couple of times now and every time the food and service are great. Everything is cooked to order with a fantastic choice of currys to choose from. Decor is maybe slightly dated if I had to be picky but would recommend to friends and family and I'd go back in an instant. Vegetarian options: We didn't try the vegetarian options but they definately cater to vegetarians with plenty of choice. Service: Dine in"

"The Balbairdie used to be a great wee pub with a great atmosphere but lately it has really gone downhill. The drinks glasses didn’t look very clean the last time they we were there 2 weeks ago) and twice my husband has been sick after drinking in here. I drank coke straight from the can as the glass didn’t look clean so I wasn’t sick). It’s a real shame as it used to be such a nice pub. I don’t think I will be going back until improvements are made."

"appreciate your reply, maybay get a takeaway in future Food was lovely, absolutely no issues at all with that however young man that served us didn’t explain the menu properly and therefore ended up costing me more money which I was annoyed about. Specifically asked if they do half portions as the small ones on menu i personally thought were quite dear for what my Daughter would eat, nearly £10, and they don’t have a kids menu. I pointed to the ‘panda curry’ £7.20 on menu (I did NOT point to the small plates option) and asked if they could do a half portion of that to which he said he would go and check and came back after a few minutes and said yes that’s fine. On receiving the bill (which is not itemised) couldn’t work out why was more than i totalled up, so I asked him to break it down for me and turns out it was because I was charged the small plate price which was over £9, at this point a woman who works there also came out and explained a bit better to me but I was still annoyed that his mistake cost me more money and they never honoured it as most places do when their staff tell the customer something different to what they received, I appreciate he was new or so I was told, and I genuinely do not mean any malice but for me personally it’s good sound business practice to keep customer happy and honour mistakes, it wasn’t a case of us being ‘at it’ to try and get a reduced bill as I don’t mind paying for good quality food, it was more the mistake and confusion it caused me as I have autism so it really makes it difficult for me when something is not presented clear to me. He got our order mixed up and instead of giving us half portion of panda curry which is what I asked for and what he said he would go and check, he gave us a small plate which comes with rice even though I never asked or pointed to that and I also asked for a portion of rice to go with my chicken satay but never got that as he must have been confused over the small plate with rice: it just caused me unnecessary annoyance having to sort out the confusion/mistake which does not add well to a restaurant experience and me having to pay more than I anticipated, really put me off returning which is ashame as food is good."
