"Nice little cosy place with good music and good food. The place has a traditional look from inside with a sweet little outside seating area They are a small place with a even smaller kitchen but the chef seems to know what he's doing Good collection of wines and whisky's One of the waitresses did tell us that they were theming their last order for food at 2100hrs. However, I noticed that they were taking food orders from other way after 2100hrs. This was a weird experience as I was left wondering now why would she lie."

a nice bar/restaurant hidden from the royal mile. great location and good food, with friendly staff. service was just a bit slow at some places that I had eaten there, even if it is not fully packed.

The Teufelsbefürworter is a great place for drinks and cocktails, with a lively pub atmosphere and a fantastic selection of drinks. Please check the closing hours before visiting. Located in Advocatenear, it is a beautiful spot to relax and enjoy a few drinks.

An old establishment that became a wonderfully decorated place with more than 200 whiskies, simply a time capsul 100 years back verry neat and clean, great scotish food wonderfull music defenetly awesome cocktails with a well selected wine list, Staff verry friendly and professional. An unforgettable experience .

We had an amazing time at this restaurant. There were a wide variety of drinks to suit everyone's preferences, the table service was excellent, and the interior of the restaurant was impressive. I sampled a 15-year-old Dalmore and an Oatmeal Pale Ale, both of which were delicious. The atmosphere was welcoming and the staff were very professional.

Once we entered at the bar we got astonished by the scent of an old whiskey cellar. The dinning atmosphere was romantic and cosy, the dishes were excellent Quality of the food: Excellent Service: Very Good Value for money: Great Recommended Dishes Picanha, smoked paprika, garlic, chimichurri hand cut chips Pan fried pork chop, sweet potato puree chorizo, crispy kale

Lovely vibe in this restaurant, very relaxed. The staff are brilliant. The best thing about this place is the mixologist Lachie. Just tell him the flavor you are wanting and he mixes sublime cocktails. We went back two days in a row he was that good. On the second day we had dinner. The food was good nothing spectacular. The steak was done well but lacked any real flavor. Chicken was good. I will stick to the drinks here.

Went for dinner with the family. Great atmosphere for drinks, not so great if you actually want to see what you are eating The meat and produced were really fresh and tasty. The quality of the ingredients is probably what stood out most. The sauce flavor was pretty subtle and was not that amazing We had dishes of pork, beef, lamb, and gnocchi. All recommended The place is quite pricey and there seem to be many more places that provide better value for the price.

"new kapitel has caught my attention after I was on top ten on trip advisor only months after the opening in the oktober last year. that and the fact that it is open for my early january birthday, made it the perfect place to celebrate to become a little older. I was with the man and his family. the man is quite used to my taste and good to the kind of kitchen that would appeal to me for a special occasion; his family not so much and I was filled with shame as his mother scornful went through the menu trying to find something she would enjoy. I've eaten with the family of the man, and I know they enjoy eating, so I think it's a failure of the menu that it is not accessible. the benming always blooming and garnish can appeal to some, but for others it is overcomplicated and it is necessary to find a balance between the two. we start with the starters and I go for venison sour wort pithvier. the venison was underheated and incredibly dry, to the happiness the sourded a little moisturizing and so saved the whole dish, but the aromen were quite not clear, except the garnitur of plastered mushrooms I thoroughly enjoyed. for the largest part we chose a fish dish for our main,- sea trout, smoked muddles, petersilien and coast herbs. where the starter fell, the main recording is getting back. the dish is rich and creamy, and each element adds the complexity of the taste as a whole, without disturbing. the concept is now an old one, and it would be deceptive if it had not worked, as it would essentially pay with this place. I enjoyed my meal in new chapter, although I do not agree with it is stellar status under the hierarchy of edinburgh eateries. it is top ten position is just a flash in the pan of hot popularity, and in time it will be plated in the upper half of the middle stage where it belongs. and that is where it belongs, the dishes can be plated with a michelin star in understood, and the venue and the supporting media has the clean lines and empty slate look of fine but eat the team has a long gone to go if that is their real aim. at the end, although it was a beautiful meal, and cheap (at the moment I would not be surprised to see their prices slowly rise) and the man’s mother found something they enjoyed and that is the most important."
